I feel as if our interpretations of the concept of hell are largely based on the animal kingdom. Imagine being an animal on the bottom of the food chain, or really, anything other than an apex predator, human, or domesticated pet. Your entire
existence is predicated on the fear of something larger than you eating you or your offspring alive, or dying to due to lack of food or severe weather. When I think of hell, it’s hard to imagine a more horrible, nightmarish existence than this.…having your every waking moment consumed by fear and anxiety. If life on earth is a kind of hell, you could even say that humankind has evolved to essentially conquer hell until the time comes we are usurped or eliminated through some sort of calamity.

I'm tired of my job. But I love it, I'm good at it, the money's great. But I've been here 5 years now and I don't feel I'm going anywhere. Not getting any younger. Nowhere else pays as well, and if I was to change I'd be taking a huge paycut I can't really afford.

I did not know until now that having the waste bin out in the kitchen is seen as low class. I have always hated when you’re at someone else’s place and you go through the dance of “where is it?”, “under the sink?”, “other drawer?”. Just make it apparent from the get go.
