Randy Pitchford Regarding BL4 potentially costing $80: "If You’re a Real Fan, You’ll Find a Way to Make It Happen"

My bad papito, I wasn't aware of that privileged information

As if he wasn't a big enough tool, in that thumbnail pic he now looks like Eli Gemstone (with long hair).

Is this like a midlife crisis look or something.

There are definitely franchises that could get away with it. I don't think Borderlands is one of them, and I don't think it benefits the game to have less people playing when a big part of its appeal is co-op.

I mean, he's not wrong, but it's also hard to give a good answer without giving people the "wait for a sale" thought in their heads.
Which is definitely not what they want.

Damn I haven't heard something so arrogant since "PS3 will increase your discipline and make you get a second job"

Get absolutely fucked, dude.

I just finished The Pre-Sequel after dipping in about out for several years, and to scratch my itch I reinstalled BL1, added some QOL mods thanks to a fan made SDK system, threw in DXVK, and now I'm enjoying it all over again. I enjoyed 1 more than 2 or TPS. I might get BL3 on sale at some point.

4? I don't see myself needing it any time soon, but thanks all the same.

He is right. games have been 50-80$ for last 30 years.
The only reason all this gamers whining has done, is creating stupidly long open world bloated games to "justify" this price.
I loved the 360/ps3. Games were 50-60, perfect length and single player.

This industry is in for a major crash. Sure maybe the super fans will buy this, but literally no one else will. That is a recipe for disaster.

I'm okay with being a faux fan and wait for it to drop to 66/75% off.
Still haven't played BL3 past the second planet because of my low tolerance for cringe.

It's not up to him
To make price points but that's was a stupid ass randy response if I've ever seen one.
My sentiments exactly. The market should dictate pricing not getting developers. If I have to I'll wait til it's below 80 before I buy it. I Blame Nintendo and Microsoft basically giving the green light on this greedy behavior.

Guess we're about to see how many people are thirsty enough for more Borderlands to pay $80 for it.

It better be really, really damn good if they ask $80 for it. If it's just "more of that mildly enjoyable Borderlands formula you're already so familiar with" then this is the easiest "wait for sale" ever.

Man I love a good cross reference so good on you. I just don't know what you referenced I guess.

Great read. Kept me entertained this morning :messenger_tears_of_joy:

A lot of people will agree, but also, at the same time say Borderlands isn't worth that much, and only the best of the best games are.

Borderlands has always been a piece of unfunny shit, now they want people that actualy enjoy this trash to go out and sell there arsehole if they want it on release day, youl find a way you fucking mugs.
