Not as good as the last one, but better than those before the last one. Which isn't saying much either.

Deus Ex remake is semi-megaton though

Also ironic how Microsoft is probably going to save PSVR2 lol

I dunno Saros and Wolverine looked potentially good but everything else looked underwhelming

Wolverine looked good, finally the date for Crimson Desert, so it's a C. I didn't care much about the rest.
But it was a weak event.

Almost an F for me.

Let it Die: Inferno is releasing at the worst time (post ARC Raiders).

Halloween looks pretty good but there's no way I'm playing that for more than a few weeks.

Saros would have been great if it was releasing in 2021.

Everything else was a snooze. Bring on November!

Better than expected. Wolverine looks super bland, boring and repetitive - just like we've come to know Sony's "cinematic" experiences. Other than that, the rest of the show was very much enjoyable if you ignore the gay Californian hosts.

Man, I miss the PS4 era! Games over Games. PS5 is such a disappointment.

Next game for me RE9.

I will work on my Gaming Backlog to minimizen it instead.

F for fucking terrible.
Wolverine looks like typical Marvel Insomniac slop and that's their big reveal.
It just confirms that PlayStation isn't were I want to play anymore.

B

What they showed is solid, if we ignore the fact there's barely any exclusive anymore. But the fact we're 5 years into the generation and there's barely first party games coming out is alarming. I mean, how many PS Studios have released any PS5 native game?

That said, loved Saros, Wolverine looks great and the other games weren't bad either. (A new Let It Die??? I'm in!)

Meh / why the fuck did they include this in a SoP?

  • Dinasty Warriors 3 Remastered

Because to DW fans, that game is probably the best in the series. The thought of playing a remastered Nanmam campaign with the war elephants makes me throb.

It's one of my most anticipated games for next year.

The fact that they seemed to have turned around and created some positive reactions for Wolverine is pretty impressive. Looks a lot better than the leaks suggested.

Personally for me, it was bad as I'm interested in jrpgs and nothing really was shown. But for most people there was probably at least something there: GT7 update, flight sim (+VR), Saros gameplay, Wolverine reveal, cool pen-ink style platformer, let it die 2, battlefield, dynasty warriors 3 remake, deus ex remake - there was a lot shown, so I'm giving it a B, but personally E.

But that doesn't mean it was a bad SoP - objectively it was pretty decent and loaded with games.

I've already pre-ordered Battlefield 6. Aside from a possible interest in Nioh 3, none of the other games showcased really caught my attention, so the State of Play mostly served as background entertainment while I worked out at the gym.

Returnal didnt click with me so I am cautious on Saros. The permanent progression is good though.
As for Wolverine, looked like the Spiderman games with more blood I guess. Nothing new there.

For next year, I dont care much for any Western game except GTA of course.

Nioh will be awsome as always.

Crimson Desert might be good.

Soros looks good but unfortunately I wont spend money on rogue likes anymore, will play when on psplus.

Wolverine .. well .. I have zero confidence that the game wont have woke story beats so its a no no for me. Hope to be very wrong though (But I wont)

And thats it from Sony.. everything 2027 and beyond is cross gen if the rumors about ps6 are right.

What an awful gen .. just awful

That was a reasonably good show in my opinion. There were a few games there that I really liked the look of. I know most people here shat all over Deus Ex, but I never had the opportunity to properly play it and perhaps this will be a good opportunity. Wolverine also looked good and the BF single player looks really great.

You mean, we should never look at a (leaked) alpha and presume the final game is going to look exactly the same?

Dogshit.

I'm simply no longer interested in modern gaming.

Everything about it is shit. The untalented 'producers' with piercings and stupid fucking haircuts. The groan inducing 'actors' who think their opinion is in any way shape or form relevant. The arts and crafts indie projects. The AI produced Japanese weeboo drivel.

It's all shit.

I'll pick up Deus Ex though.

Not a lot of interesting things in there. I liked Crimson Desert. They guy wearing the mask was funny but I will never play that game.

Solid B - almost everything they showed that I'm interested in looked pretty great. Wolverine and Saros look awesome. Excited to see more about ZA/UM's new game, and Let It Die was a pleasant surprise but sadly I don't think will do well. Is Suda51/Grasshopper even involved?

35 minutes that could've been an email.
I mean that's kind of on you boss. They're pretty consistent with SoP format & content, If you didn't want to watch you could've just waited and read the summary of all announcements that's on literally every gaming site right now.

The "this call could've been an email" trope comes from being obligated to join meetings.

Meh, I'll give it a B. Has some interesting stuff on the side. Gameplay for the two big games looks okay. The female in the wolverine game looks scary and ugly right in the face which is not great but not a game killer in this case. It was expected.

Nothing really exciting so it can't get higher than a B. It's a high C low B. How bout B-. Nioh 3 will be the goat and I think that got a release date hence my B-.

Gave it a B. Thought there was a surprisingly amount of big hitters and surprises although too much weeb stuff for my liking.

As someone who loves Returnal (still think it's the best game of the generation), I was quite underwhelmed by Saros. It basically looked like a reskin of Returnal. Looks like there will be more permanent progression features, which seems like people were calling out for. I'll be there day 1 though, Housemarque got my full trust.

Chronoscript looked cool, like a mature version of Plucky Squire. Excited for Deus Ex remaster. Don't really care about Wolverine, as superhero stuff is not my thing, but the fact that it's going for quite a mature/violent take maybe it could be worth a try whenever it comes to PS+.
