Rayman Legends |OT| "It's a bit like a porno" (Michel Ancel) WiiU/360/PS3/Vita/PC

What do people think about the lack of bubbleising from enemies? I remember with Origins I was annoyed at having to hit the enemies a second time for Lum collection, but I kind of missed it in Legends.

I like it. Best part about Legends actually. It was kinda annoying and only fun in the Vita version where you could just hit them the second time with the touchscreen :)

It was cool when they used it as part of the level design (example- hit the dudes, use their bubbles as stairs to a hidden room) and I thought I would miss it in Legends when it was first revealed, but it makes the pace faster and I play my Rayman speedy so I wound up not even noticing its absence

According to PSN Profiles, no one has gotten the platinum trophy yet!? That's crazy.

You can't because the game is not out long enough. You will see some people maybe getting it as early as next week if they can consistently pull of diamond cups in the challenges.

If you can only get gold or silver you are looking at over 100 days of doing both daily challenges and the weekly ones to get to the 11th and final Awesome level.

Question during certain levels it tells me to tap on the touchscreen to release murfy. I can't seem to get rid of him though (I don't know how?) In the PS3 demo this would never happen.

PS3 doesn't have a touchscreen. The game was designed for touchscreen, and when the PS3 version was announced, the workaround they created was to assign Murfy to a contextual button press while controlling the platforming. On the Wii U and Vita versions, they maintain the game's original vision.

Wow, kind of regret getting the Vita version now. The PS3 controls were easily superior for me. At least during these earliest levels. Feel like I completely lose control during the Murfy sections.

Might trade the Vita version in and see if I can pick the PS3 one up on the cheap in a few weeks. It's a shame too because the game is stunning on the OLED. :/ Thanks for the explanation.

This is an incredible game.

As someone who considers himself a 2D platformer enthusiast, this is certainly on my all-time list. It does everything right, including - most importantly - the air-tight mechanics.

I love the Vita version. I also like how they do the PS3 version. Maybe they'll patch in the option in the Vita version.

Sales must be atrocious.

Actually, I think it's mathematically impossible. Finishing the game leaves you with about 4000 awesomeness points and you need an extra 2000 from challenges for the max level trophy. So only people who can consistently get Diamond cups every day would be able to have gotten it by now, and I can't imagine there being very many of these people.

EDIT: Whoops, beaten. But yeah, it's annoying they went for that when Origins' were really fun to get.

Got this game yesterday for the Wii U and though (so far) it has been easy, I'm really enjoying to collect everything on every level to unlock everything. Seems there is a lot of things to be unlocked!

Visuals are great. Ubisoft made a great job with this engine.

I bought it this week. (First I wanted to wait till the first price drop, but then I loved Rayman Origins that much, I had to get this one as soon as possible.) And I like it. It does a lot of stuff right. The visuals are great and much better than R:O. I'm pretty early and trying to get 600 lums and all the teensies. And I have to say that I'm missing the time run part of the levels. Why do they have to get rid of them? Mostly the touch mechanic are to blame for this, correct? Could be way too hectic to finish a level in a specific time. Okay. I have to deal with it.

On the other hand, I am enjoying the addition of the challenges. It keeps me interested in the game and to beat other players. (But I think I'm going to stop playing them if I have all achievements or played them all.) I won't comment about the level design, but I played the desert level in the first world and unfortunately have to complain about those climbing sequences. They were kind of frustrating because I was way ahead of the camera. So I have to play some parts out of the level with pure luck which isn't fun at all. And somehow the controls feel less precise than Rayman: Origins. But to defense of Rayman: Legends, I played Origins about a year and half ago.

Short verdict on my first two hours of gaming: I'm always in for a good Jump'n'Run and Rayman: Legends feels like an incredible one again. I'm happy, UbiSoft still supports those titles and I hope people will buy it. This is a Jump'n'Run like I played when I was 5-6 years old. And a shame that only UbiSoft succeeded so far.

Well if you wanna get all the achievements you will play the challenges quite a bit.

Todays daily extreme challenge on Vita is driving me insane. The dumb AI just jumps over the platform I move for him every damn time

So, since release I've been unable to play the game online.

I have to not only set uPlay to offline but also turn off my wireless card in order for the game to not crash after the splash screen.

Not an uncommon issue judging by the forums but still has't been fixed... Somewhat annoying.

I picked this up on 360 yesterday, and played 8 or so levels with my girlfriend. Great fun! Enjoying it just as much as Origins so far, and the presentation is just too good.

Beat Infiltration Station Invaded! Now just going through the Origins levels to get the rest of the teensies. Too bad a couple of the trophies look like a grind or I might go for the platinum too.

700/700, all platinum trophies. What a damn fun game. Those Invasion levels get really rough at the end, but just manageable enough to not give up.

Ubisoft, please keep making these.

Never played a Rayman before, tried the demo for this on my Vita...
A demo has never sold me more on a game. Wow. Bought it immediately and have been enjoying it a ton since.

The game is beautiful on the TV but on the GamePad it feels unoptimized, it pales next to The Wonderful 101 which transfers perfectly.

Just got my Wii U Pro Controller yesterday, tried it and discovered that only a second player can play with it, I can understand since there's a bunch of levels involving Murphy but now that I completed the main game I'm doing Origins levels.

Welp, gamepad isn't that bad anyway.

Playing this on PC and greatly enjoying it. Looks utterly fantastic (at 1440p :p) and plays just as well as Origin did, if not better.

Also, I'm very surprised by the amount of content they packed into this. The daily and weekly challenges are a great idea.

The challenges are somewhat addicting. The leaderboards and everything just make me want to get my times/score better and better.

Yeah, it's really well designed. The way it is presented with the overall histogram, country flags and nearby opponents to beat makes it more engaging.

Oh my God. Got it today, this game is brilliant. I beat the first world and replayed the levels to get 100%

Just as good as ever, this game makes me so happy. Addicted. I'll definitely come back after I beat it to write full impressions.

Aaaaargh!!! I can't get Eye Of The Tiger played with a kazoo out of my head now!!! Lol

Brilliant game, loads of content too...shame that Kung Football is only local multiplayer though (

Been playing this all week; it's a really great game. The Murfy stuff is pretty creative; this game makes much better use of the Wii U pad than NSMBU did. Silly comparisons aside, I really enjoyed this game.

I got all the teensies, but I'm still sitting at only around 500k lums. Guess I probably won't grind out that million-lum character, especially with W101 launching tomorrow.

I had the choice of Wii U or PC versions and I"m really glad I picked PC after playing a bunch of those Murphy levels.

I want to focus on the platforming and making them contextual timing button presses keeps it much purer like a platformer with a cool sidekick gimmick. I wouldn't want the touch screen stuff if you offered it to me.

Man, I've been trying to find a dedicated track name or something for a song from Rayman Legends, but I don't know what it is and Google doesn't seem to know either. Been driving me crazy for awhile now :X

Does anyone know what's the name of the song that plays at the end of Mansions of the Deep, or if that's even its own song? It also plays twice in Elevator Ambush. Rad accordion and piano tunes I cannot pass up.
