It's proportional. For the weekly challenge you can get a bronze at the beginning of the week and it might turn even into a gold by the end of it, if enough weaker players play.
Best ask this in the steam thread on pc it is irritating for some. What's there to hate about uplay?! I fired it up for the time and it seemed harmless. Even redeemed a ps3 Legends theme with the some of the points accumulated.
So does anyone know whether the allocation of medals in the challenges is proportional or if there's a set number? It's difficult enough as if is; imagine a couple of months from now when only the really good players are left :/
G-FYoshi, but I guess, looking at the names of the games, you are probably playing on PS3, aren't you?
Footos22 on psn
need some more ppl to beat.
my daughter wiped away a whole weeks w9orth of lum collecting progess
went from 150000 to get back down to 450000 to go
3DS version is possible, according to Ubisoft.
I dont even want to think about 8bit levels on the tiny 3DS screen.
Yeah, I didn't see that coming. I was looking forward to real 8 bit graphics..Oh man when everyone in here was talking about 8 bit levels I was expecting actual 8 bit versions of the levels, not shitty camera and graphics so horrible it's impossible to see what you are doing.
Anyone have a recommendation for the best level to lum farm in?
I just got all 700 teansies so I just need to do some clean up and get 1000000 lums.
How did she do that oO?
It's not vastly different. I feel like they've tightened up the controls. Added Murphy levels change the pace but I find them very enjoyable. Unfortunately an easier game, but the levels, art, music, and gameplay are bliss. How is this different from origins?
I just tried the demo of this game in Wal-Mart on a Wii-U. It was also the first time I had tried a Wii-U.
I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't a BIT.TRIP RUNNER style rhythm game with Black Betty playing in the background. The art was kind of neat, but I don't know that I would want to play the full game. I didn't notice any checkpoints since it always placed me back at the beginning when I failed. However, I stopped failing after maybe 1/3 or 1/2 through the level so there could have been later checkpoints. The touchscreen seemed to work well though of course I didn't need it for the game. The controller seemed comfortable.
Of course, I gather from this thread that the particular level I played may not be representative of the game as a whole, and other levels might be more traditional platformer-style.

Some levels such as the musical levels or challenge levels don't have checkpoints(because they are quite short) but other than that you don't need to worry about it.
My mistake. I haven't died on a music level yet, so I didn't know. All the music levels have checkpoints except for the very final bunch.the 8-bit versions
The problem is that once you 100% the main game, the only way to get trophies is to do the daily/weekly challenges, and you only get two a day (plus the two weeklies). Considering you need about 1,900 points from challenges to make the final rank, that's going to take just under 12 weeks of playing every day -- and that's if you get gold on every single challenge. Each Diamond trophy you get cuts that down by about two days. If you're constantly getting Diamond, you'll have it in a bit over two weeks... but that's really damn hard. I've been playing on XBL and the Extreme challenges typically only have ~2,000 players on them, which means about only 20 Diamond cups per day given out.For the Achivements I thinks it's more effective to just play the challenges once to thrice, instead of going for diamond (most people will not be in the diamond ranks after a few tries I guess - I know I am not at least ), over playing for a longer period of time to get diamond. When I got my (only) diamond on the PS Vita version, it took me about as much play time as (at least) 20 gold trophies. So, not really worth it for me.
Unlocked Living Dead Party.
Damn, my eyes hurt. Who thought this was a good idea?
The murfy levels suck so bad on the PS3, they should have just had him auto do things or just change those little things. It works semi ok in coop if one person just stays bubbled and does the murfy stuff.
Shit, I was planning to buy a PC version, but a day ago I bought WiiU, as I had a very nice offer to buy it for a small price.
So, now I have a choice. On one hand, I can play it dirty cheap on PC, or pay more and play it on WiiU. While I was playing the demo on steam, I remember saying, that those shoehorned quasi-touch elements would work better on WiiU, but then I wasn't even thinking of getting one.
So, WiiU Rayman owners, is it worth it to pay more and play Legends on WiiU?
if you have any inclination to do co-op, WiiU is a no brainer. Looks like you didnt like the controller variation of Murfy which also makes me think you should pony up for the WiiU version.
Is Living Dead Party a world, or just one single level?
I just beat the main game, and I need to get more Teenies to unlock it. A few more Origins levels should do it, but I'm just curious.
This is one of those weird instances where both the game and a dumb achievement got me playing it as long as I have. I don't think I would have stuck with the daily challenges if it wasn't for that one absurd achievement... but there's no way I would grind that achievement out if the game wasn't as good and as fun as it is. Currently at 5,045 points... so I'm over halfway there, but it's still so far away. ;_;Man it's going to take me 3 months to get the last level of awesomeness if my current rate of some golds, some silvers continues.
I'm going to get it though. I won't give up.

I kind of wish the daily challenges included time trials on the regular levels. If they did, anyone who hit the final level of awesomeness could probably speedrun the game at that point.
Hmmmmm, still no invaded levels for Vita... Getting worried a lt this point.
