What does a Red Mage do btw? I only know that funny one from 8-bit theatre. They increase stats or something?

Black mages ftw anyway...they get to kill with thunder and fire.

I love Red Mages myself. I would also like to be a Red Mage.

But I thought Scholar was more fitting to my personality.

edit: A Red Mage uses a bit of white magic and black magic, but they also can use swords and armor as well. They are a good class to use at the beginning, but are often not that useful late game.

My mom signed up for some scam called HomeProfitWeb. Apparently their pitch is that you can sit at home and post links for $15 a link. But you have to pay $96 for their training material. Sounds ridiculous, right?

This woman has never seen an <a href tag in her life. I'm guessing that this is nominally a Search Engine Optimization thing, but this company undoubtedly makes the bulk of its money from the suckers who pay for the materials.

I swear, I've told her so many times to never sign up for anything on the internet without calling me for advice first. She's like a naive child out there.

Why would I do that? :O Honestly, a lot of the challenges people set for themselves in games sound really boring to me. I guess for people who like messing with the game mechanics, but personally I've always enjoyed playing games as the designer intended it.

The on in the wiki did look hot.

I usually start out making my Black Mage really strong, but I am actually more comfortable playing with warriors. Chopping shit up works best for me.

So I like Black Mages the best, but seem to be more good with warriors.

That really sucks. The thing has a name right out of the '90s Guide to Internet Company Nomenclature, too. Any time I see a name that's a single word with multiple capital letters in it, I assume there's something scammy going on.

Luckily, that's not a large amount to lose!

I've been thinking about buying it too.. but I think I wouldn't finish it. I finished it twice but I don't think I have the time, or am motivated enough for it.

I do realize now, that after all these years, when I look back... FF9 is truely my favorite FF. I enjoyed 6,8 and 10 too, but 9 is the best for me.

Speaking of 6... I never finished that and I think that is because I did something wrong.
When I entered the World of Ruin, I seemed to be totally underpowered. I vaguely remember some scene in a house, and when I went outside I got totally raped by all random encounters.
So I wanted to ask you GAF... did I do something wrong? I stopped playing after that... it really seemed I had 'broken' the game.

World of Ruin doesn't block you off from taking on stronger areas immediately. So you can occasionally wander in to areas with just Celes and Sabin and get your face knocked in.

Apparently she got the link in an email from her friend.

Now when you get an email from your friend's address saying, "I made $1200 working from home last month, and you can too!" what's your first thought? That your friend's account got hacked, right? That never even occurred to my mom.

Is there a technologically unsavvy parent meme? Because there should be.

My cousin asked me to help him root his droid because I am the cool older cousin that knows tech and stuff.

I had no idea what I was doing!

In the time it took me to google instructions, he already managed it.

I donated blood during my senior year of high school just to get out of class. I filled a pouch until it was about to burst. I felt totally fine but they told me to stay, eat cookies and drink Capri Sun until I felt better. I stayed for an hour just talking with friends before they finally kicked me out and told me to go to class.
