Standardized tests can be a deal breaker for some people unfortunately, good thing it isn't for you. I was actually surprised that I did similarly on both tests, since math was a lot more on what I focused on (finishing a degree in Chemistry).

How would graduate degrees work for that? I know for Chemistry I can work directly towards a PhD without having to get a Master's first thankfully, but it should still take 4-6 years.

I'm one of those people. I do horribly on them, granted, before now, I YOLOed the SAT/ACT. I plan to study my ass off while I'm abroad, but I've never been confident about taking those tests. I'm banking on my high GPA and Peace Corps experience to get me into a top-notch university and possibly get funding if I don't do hot on the GRE.

GL with that. I kind of YOLO'd the ACT as well back in the day, so badly that I didn't even bring a calculator. Luckily it wasn't much needed and I still scored really well. Have you already taken the ACT/SAT? Maybe I shouldn't be telling you this but they really aren't incredibly difficult.

I'm a college graduate! So I had to take the SAT/ACT six years back, thankfully I did well enough on the ACT to get my state scholarship. Though when I took them, I was a major slacker who only slept in school, and I was in boom boom classes. I'd probably steam rolled them now, but back then, oh boy. I didn't enter my academic mode until my undergraduate.

Oh man I feel that, I was the biggest slacker when I got into college and really wish I had the work ethic then that I do now. Didn't do to badly regardless, but could have absolutely wrecked up the place if I had put any kind of effort into it.

Regardless, I dropped out because fuck debt and as a big strong man I could make tons of money working on Wind Turbines instead of waiting to get out with a liberal arts degree and only make like, 35k a year. Dropping out of college was a great decision for me.

... so what's going on in here?

Any interesting weekend plans realgaf?

Seeing a friend after 6 months tomorrow. Getting ready for a trip to Sydney starting tomorrow. Chilling with a few friends and having Shisha.

Sunday, going to arcades, casino and going through the city looking for different kinds of food we haven't tried.

Decent plans for two days.

I'm hoping to take FK out for a nice dinner this weekend (shh don't tell her), building a bity snowman with my son, and playing lots of video games.

Maybe getting my oil changed.

Tonight is Gentlemen's Night of the Stout at my house, where me and a handful of other manly men will be drinking a lot of tasty stouts and porters and warming ourselves up in the middle of our impending icy doom.

The rest of my weekend will be spent indoors probably playing games and staying warm.

I'm ultra-casual today. Gave my 2 week notice last friday.. officially 1 week to go. Haven't gone the flip-flop route yet, but wearing a snug thermal shirt, ball cap and jeans in the office. HR hasnt said anything..

I didn't know these topics were still around. Might as well post a photo then. Sorry for the shitty quality. Not much to work with save for a webcam.

I keep forgetting that I wasn't planning on posting on gaming-side during Real-pic January, considering I know a few people that venture into the threads there.

Not that there is actually particularly bad I would get linked to, but still, I'd rather keep it separate.
