I always have the feeling that i'm wasting my time when i play this game. It's like i spend 20 minutes riding a horse and 5 doing something cool.
I think it's a good game. But i'm not having fun.

I recently bought a rifle from a gun shop and for some reason the double barrel shotgun that was on my horse is not there anymore! It also says I don't own the gun when I look at the catalogue from the gun shop. This happened earlier when I bought a repeater and the pump action shotgun I had is nowhere to be found. Does the horse only carry a limited amount of weapons? Has anyone ran into this problem?
I've wanted to kill him since the intro. It's weird for me that the entire gang is so chilled and yet Dutch allows a loose cannon like Micah to stick around.
All right, I guess this is a spoiler. If someone can help, well, that would be cool.
The old soldier got killed, and he asked me to take care of his horse, Buell. Buell disappeared on me after I quit the game, and I can't find him at the soldier's cabin, at my camp, or in a stable. Does he just disappear? Is it possible to make Buell your main horse?
i've pretty much lost interested in this hunting is a nightmare. i can't get the stuff needed to upgrade/craft. i've lost track of the story completely. i just can't find any focus or motivation to progress the game.
I completed the story without doing one, single piece of hunting and I didn’t get any upgrades or craft anything. It doesn’t matter and isn’t important— if hunting is not enjoyable, stop and do something else.
This is a great video. Really made me understand the wanted system and I'm glad it pointed out that witness icons seems to be broken, because I did notice that. I'm quite surprised there have been no patches for the game yet.
Though I still don't like how cops instantly know who you are and how many suddenly show up when you're wanted.
And so far NO INDIANS in the game. Thats strange, since we saw indians in the opening, and I just stepped in an indian burial ground, exactly like the one in the movie Bone Tomahawk
I expected some retaliation like in the movie, but so far, nothing

Finished the main story last night, and man, what a ride. The game is not without flaws (primarily control-related), but really, what an engrossing experience. I genuinely felt like I was living as Arthur in this universe. As the events leading towards the game's conclusion transpired, I found myself cursing out certain characters in one scene, and getting choked up during other parts - I can't say I'm often emotionally invested in video games, but that was certainly the case here...in particular (not really a spoiler, but)...
there's a moment in the game where you're riding alone after a particularly harrowing experience, and Unshaken by D'Angelo kicks in and it just fits the situation and mood so perfectly. You're forced into cinematic camera and you can just sit back and take in the heaviness of it all. A similar moment also happens later with another great tune.
Some of the white missions count towards story completion though, like all of Strouss’s debt collections and those too can be missed if you don’t do them in the available chapter.

Yeah, I dunno. Guides say Javier's homestead robbery can be done in the next chapter, but I might miss out on Charles's Bison hunting. They aren't critical. I just wish I knew which mission is going to flip the chapter.
So there are those three symbols in the upper right corner of the camp, right? I always try to buy as much medicine as I can, for example, but the symbol stays yellow.

Arthur sees the nun at the train station, she's about to head out of town permanently, and they have a talk, he tells her about his sickness and admits that he's afraid. It's her advice really that sets him on his path to Redemption in the final chapter. that one got me

Strange, my cutscene was with Reverend Swanson during this part. I guess it's because I never met the nun? Swanson was leaving town as well, and we had a similar heart to heart.

Im in chapter 5, finally found a perfect iguana skin for the last part of my legendary satchel, and Pearson isnt anywhere to be found to craft it. Fucking annoying, first time in 50 hours I have actually been pissed about something in this game.

I find myself with little desire to play the epilogue. I played for about 15 minutes yesterday, and apparently I'm going to be a delivery/errand boy for a while? Sure, I'd like to clear that, but do I get to run around in the open world as Arthur again after everything is completed?...playing as John doing this stuff for hours on end just isn't grabbing me. It gets more interesting I would imagine, but is it up there with the rest of the game?

curious if someone else had this as well. Its about chapter 5 so spoilers ahead
Alright.. Now that I am getting further.. Got to chapter 5. I'm starting to miss my camp And not the house.. That was a lame camp. But the first 2 camps. Shit, I miss those moments of just chilling in camp.. Anyone else had this?

"Nope. Which has fucked me off no end. So going to replay and make new saves during each chapter. I have missed a couple of missions I've since found out, which is fucking annoying. The design of this game at times is a joke."
Wow, this South Park scene is ME right now, no joke!!! I have literally been up for 2 full days because of RDR2 (Only feels like a few hours!) i turned it off about 30min ago, took a shower, now im in my bed watching video's on it! It's truly THAT addicting/amazing!!! I ran out to Best Buy 2 days ago and purchased a 75" Samsung QLED mainly for RDR2, this game is controlling my life, AND I LOVE IT!!!

You'll do some missions with Sadie and there's a big moment at the end of the epilogue which ties up a loose end from the story .. won't want to miss that IMO
I did the Mary mission, that was a well acted/emotionally relatable one. I did the first part of the John mission of stealing the kerosine wagon. Be careful, they can shoot holes in it and cause a leak. So now I have the part of meeting them with the train to do, and still Micah for Dutch.

The world here is so beautiful and immersive that simple act of walking or riding in it is enjoyable for me; it is one of the most immersive games ever made. Though it helps that it really is sprinkled with various random encounters quite often and is consistently well written.
What the heck. Javier's homestead mission just popped up. I've been waiting for this and it never showed up, now it is. I don't get this game's trigger events.
