Is there no penalty for surrendering to the law and going to jail? I don't notice any money being taken away or weapons or nothing.

That would be nice. Right now, I'm getting a little frustrated with how tedious being 'wanted' can make the game. It should be the case where if I escape the 'wanted circle', I'm free, but if I go back into town, I'm still shown as wanted. Thats annoying as hell, to be honest. I dont want to have to pay money every single time I decide to do something bad in sandbox game. They already take honor away from me, I think thats punishment enough.

If going to jail doesn't result in any loss of resources or anything, that would be great. Still annoying to have to do it, but a better option than giving my money out.

Seriously, in a game like this, dont PUNISH people for being bad. If you do, everybody is going to be encouraged to play the same way, which is exactly the opposite of what makes these games fun.

I'm still loving the game, but I think this is now my single biggest gripe.

What the hell? Unless the person goes for help or is within distance of other people you should be able to kill them without any bounty. This isn't GTA where someone can call the cops.

And in this game, you may think you're out in the middle of nowhere, but you see that huge draw distance the game has over the barren terrains? Well that just increases the chances that some 'random' is gonna see you and run to snitch without you ever knowing.

Its happened to me a couple times, but a couple other times, I've seen the people off in the distance running away to tell the authorities. Problem is that catching and killing them just results in a higher bounty....grrrrr.

I had a similar problem.. i killed the guy when you first do the marshals missions, when it finished, i seen a blue bird. and thought it was unusual.. so i picked it off from a distance... next thing i had a $5 bounty with a lawman after me lol... so it eventually says bribe the officer for $3 i went ok... so bribed him for $3.... then - 400 honour comes up.. ffs lol... this is out of the blue in the middle of nowhere lol

A quickie regarding dead eye, I can only do one shot at a time using it, how do i paint targets? unlock summat? or am i just doing it wrong! :lol

i have done it.. wait til they unholster their gun... then target their gun hand... when dead eye ends you should hit them in the hand resulting in them dropping the gun... but keeping them alive giving you +100 honor..
(thats with expert settings though)

I honestly don't think there is any penalty. Just stop and don't shoot and the surrender animation begins like GTAIV. You go to jail and the only thing that happens is time forwards a few hours or days I guess depending on what your crime is, maybe? Not sure.

If you accidentally pull your gun on an NPC, don't freak out. Just re-holster your weapon and they usually calm down.

Of course you aren't. The game is really amazing. The developers really pulled off a world that feels alive.

I'm trying in multiplayer, but it only keeps saying that music can't be played at the moment. =/ What am I doing wrong?

I was having a similar issue and found my clock settings were all messed up. Check on that. It'll default to most recent save if you're saving in multiple slots.

I have lassoed a cougar and it's pretty funny. You really can not drag it at all but it also does not seem to be able to attack you. I have not tried on my horse, but now that my mainstay whitey is dead to inerrant wolf knifing- I will have to try it.

More importantly, when you understand what's going on in multiplayer and not being greifed within seconds of spawning, it's awesome. There was an incredible match of me and two friends, vs a gang, vs another posse of two in Tessero Azul. We only spawned in two houses in a corner, pretty much in front of each other. Tons of shotgun shells and throwing knives we came out victorious, but i was just fucking awesome. Seeing a guy spawn in front of you, throwing knife to the head, then have his teammate spawn behind you to shotgun you in the back, only to have your teammate spawn behind him, etc, etc, etc. It's a blast.

I would like some DLC that adds like a mansion or at least a hunting lodge or something. I want it to feature a greenhouse where all my collected plants appear in planters, and a wing of animals where it will display my hunting exploits: deer head mounts, rugs, and of course a giant taxidermy grizzly bear.

Good god this game is amazing. But missions can be abit hard if touching a wall means falling into a void for a few seconds resulting in John falling on the floor and just lying there for a few seconds.

You are correct. It doesn't allow you to save so it won't hinder your ability to get achievements when you load up your save game.

Another question; why the hell don't my guns automatically lock on to wild animals all of a sudden? I have to manually aim now, so it makes hunting infinitely more difficult and time-consuming.

Ok so I had my random kind of crazy moment last night. I was on the

which exploded his molotov. He goes up in a ball of flame, screaming the entire time. As I watch his horse catches on fire. Now it starts "screaming". They run off burning into the night over the hill.

It was so damn awesome.

What's the deal with this Gentleman Suit? I suddenly had it, then I didn't have it, then I reloaded and had it again...

Was also doing that random mission where a lawman is standing at the side of a road and two criminals are running off and you have to either capture or kill them, so I capture the first one but my horse was being a dick and kept moving away when I tried to take the guy off it, so I shot the guy out of annoyance and decided to just kill them but instead I ended up with a bounty... then my framerate took a complete dive.

Edit: Bit more moaning to get it out of my system but fuck multiplayer. It's fun sure but the playlists are too limiting and I have to put up with autoaim nobs till I level up? What crap.

You're right. It seems either the game or my console are saving it with screwed up times so it auto loads the latest time save which is actually one of the older ones.
