How are they killing the system before it comes out? These threads are seen by a few thousand or so. This has absolutely zero bearing on the outcome of a system.

As in it'll be as successful as E.T. The Game? Yeah maybe.![]()
.
Wouldn't be too worried. Most know to keep their expections in check about these things. Especially after the wii u speculation threads...I hope.Obviously not killing it for the entire market. For the people who speculate. Regardless of the outcome there is bound to be some level of disappointment if you spend enough time buying into all of these specs.

for what
GDDR5 is higher bandwidth, DDR3, lower latency iirc. Not that latency is really a huge issue for a GPU, but yeah.
for what
Why?!
Whenever Someone tries to claim the next system will be called a variant of "nes" I know it's bullshit. Pure fanboy wankery. No, that's the alleged name for their OS system. The rumored name for the console is Nintendo Extra, or the NEX. According to the leaker, it's a play on NES and Nintendo's tenth console.
DDR3 is very cheap, but does not make sense, this would mean they would need ESRAM on the APU like XB1.......which would mean a smaller GPU.
Plot thickens...

Which makes absolutely no sense since Nintendo has released six home consoles, seven if you include virtual boy.No, that's the alleged name for their OS system. The rumored name for the console is Nintendo Extra, or the NEX. According to the leaker, it's a play on NES and Nintendo's tenth console.
He's digging quite the hole for himself. It'd be a miracle for Nintendo to have 8GB, forget 12. Granted, DDR3 is cheaper, but I'm not sure if Nintendo would go as far as to put 12GB of said RAM.from the unverified dev on Reddit:

So you're saying NX was going to be the most powerful console but took ESRAM to the knee?

They've released four gens of handhelds.

I'm keeping my expectations as low as possible. Why?
It would be cool if it did line up though. The only way it lines up is if they counted this way: Color TV Game, NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Panasonic Q, Wii, Wii Mini, Wii U, but that just doesn't seem right to me.

Why would Nintendo make their console more expensive by putting in way too much RAM?
Don't believe that for one bit.

I love Nintendo but they'd better fucking not call the system Nintendo Extra. That's a shit name.
I guess I had my expectations too low. It's just that all this sounds too good to be true, Nintendo has to cut corners somewhere.8GB is actually a fairly safe amount of RAM.
If it's true, I'd buy one just to support Nintendo, hoping that a big succes would drive them far away from gimmicks.
But I doubt that they applied common sense this time around.

If you're going to include the Panasonic Q and Wii Mini you need to include the AV Famicom/NES101 and the Super Famicom Jr./SNES "Mini".
Talking about going to the ultimate stretch...Yep, I believe that's it. That's according to the reddit person anyways.

1) NES
2) Gameboy (Color/Advance/SP/Micro falls under here)
3) SNES
4) N64
5) Gamecube
6) DS
7) Wii
8) 3DS
9) Wii U
10) NEX
I've stated before and since any specs were revealed this gen most would have shitty cpus this turned out to be true, so to be fair my own perspective is skewed.
amd 8350 stock >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> NX>>>>> X1 >> PS4>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Wii U. All 3 of big 3 manufacturers got this issue wrong, yet I know next gen 2 of them won't cause they tend to do a decent job. Nintendo isn't impressing anyone.
...Virtual boy?
Isn't DDR4 a bit on the expensive side?Nintendo going with ddr3? Pack it up as their already dead
Why is that controller so fat?
