Yeah, this is sadly true. Launches really tend to suck nowadays. Not saying that they were the best in the 16 and 32 bit era, but at least there were at least one or two games that would completely blow your socks off for just about any system.
I'm getting a PS4 day one, but there's not a lot to look forward to if I'm honest.
Personally I'm getting one so I don't have to play BF4 on old hardware. The one game I'm actually stoked to get my hands on is the next gen version of The Pinball Arcade. Never bought a new system just to play a pinball game before.

Drive club is looking vey nice, but right now there's much to little info and media about the game to make an informed decision on it. X1 isn't even on my radar at all.
So yeah, the launches certainly are meh. Just like the Wii U and 3DS launches.
Sucks, but what can you do about it besides not buying them?
