They've still got time to cancel it.The only news here is SOD3 is actually coming.

Wouldn't surprise me. It's a sequel ffs, the last one came out 7 years ago. They've still got time to cancel it.
Agreed."the most logical assumption would be that it will be a port released after its initial Xbox launch"
Those days should be over. There's not much logic or worthwhile strategy in a delayed port at this point, it's just dead money and missing out on the hype cycle.
Only small outfits who have to prioritise resource allocation should be delaying ports. At this point all MS's own releases should be day at date just like any other 3rd party publisher.
It also pushed all companies to release better Quality Games. I think people forget how beneficial competition is for the gaming industry. If there's no competition, things get stale, as the companies have no reason to try anymoreGaming was better when Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo were all competitors.
Undead labs "due to market conditions"At this rate I'm worried if SoD 3 is even coming to xbox
Oblibion is the second best selling game of the year. Are you saying every game but MH:Wilds is a sales failure? That it doesn't sell when you can rent the damn thing. I mean, EVEN your example, they didn't even give the numbers![]()
No, what i am saying is that it didn't sell anything on the Xbox compared to the other systems it's on. Which is my whole point of what i originally said.Oblibion is the second best selling game of the year. Are you saying every game but MH:Wilds is a sales failure?
This. And to add, staggering a release a year/two years also means the game has probably been on sale and it's harder to then launch it on a different platform at full MSRP, because the consumer has seen you selling it for $40 a few times."the most logical assumption would be that it will be a port released after its initial Xbox launch"

Thought I was the only one into SOD2. Looking forward to 3 if it ever arrives.I could not give any less of a fuck so long as SOD3 is actually coming out soon. It's one of only two upcoming games I care about, along with Grounded 2.
State of Decay is the preeminent zombie apocalypse simulator on a controller. I put 500 hours into SOD2.
I'm on PC but PS release is now obvious and the more the merrier for these online crossplatform experiences. Everyone should welcome a larger pool of players over a smaller one.

This is what you originally said.Let me ask you a simple question. Why do you believe that ever since GP became what it is, MS will only talk about the amount of players in their game, and not the amount of copies sold? You don't need to answer, it's pretty clear, even a child sees the full story.
The end.
Game with the most potential from all xbox studios .surprised state of decay 3 is even a game anymore
Again, to have high sales of a game made by an MS first party dev, it must be available across everything there is. If they aren't even telling you the exact numbers on a third party Oblivion remake, what do you really think is E Day gonna achieve being only on the X and pc? Xbox sales are a thing of the past, and there's no shot that expensive titles such as Starfield were profitable, so it's pretty much 100% guaranteed that a game like that will land on PS just so they could actually make some money back on the investment. This is what you originally said.
So why will MS only talk about players in a game? Its not low sales - because they could boast high sales numbers for Oblivion if they wanted. Are you saying its low xbox sales? But no-one would expect them to break out just xbox sales.
The answer is that all these announcements are advertising. Clair Obscur numbers are no doubt way higher than the copies sold they announce sold numbers because they are advertising the game is available to buy. When MS announces player numbers they are advertising the game is available to play. Sandfall have no reason to have people thinking of anything other than buying the game as they already got their gamepass money.
Yeah, this is a stupid "report". Great journalism!Report: literally every first-party Xbox game is coming to PS5 in the future.
Also, essentially confirmed by Microsoft & also just plain common sense.
When the head of the company has literally stated multiple times that it's no longer their strategy to pursue console exclusives. Like what about this is still not sinking in with people?
They're becoming the world's largest third-party publisher, who also will likely maintain a niche console business on the side for the die-hards.
This. I am slightly more surprised that is still coming instead of getting Everwilded. SoD2 came out in 2018, the same year as God of War and Spider-Man. Both of those games got sequels (Insomniac alone has put out 3 games since then). How long can it take to make a State of Decay game?!SoD 3 announcement trailer was so long ago I had to google it. June 2020. Before current gen systems even launched! lol
Ya, I had googled it too SoD 2 was a 2018 game. when they showed the SoD 3 trailer, they probably had not much going on. But SoD 1 to 2 was 5 years (2013 to 2018). So SoD 3 at 2023 seems possible. Even if someone added in delays due to covid, 2025 should be totally reasonable by now for a game like this. Should had been a 2023-ish game if those Sony games could do it in a good time budget.This. I am slightly more surprised that is still coming instead of getting Everwilded. Forza Horizon 5 is an example of that not being true. Unlike the PC market, where a game delayed by years and still launched at full price performs badly, delayed ports seem to perform just fine in the console space. Does that mean Microsoft won't move to day-and-date PlayStation launches? Absolutely not, but it's worth considering."the most logical assumption would be that it will be a port released after its initial Xbox launch"
