This is the crux of it for me. I can play Zelda: BOTW at home, on my TV, then I can go to work and continue playing the same game, from exactly where I left off, on my break.
Hell, I can even stay at home and go for a shit without breaking off from the game.

A 720p screen is a shocker to me. As a product, NX doesn't seem that appealing to me, unfortunately. I'm just not feeling it at all. Maybe I'll change my mind when I see the real thing.

New info:
- Camera and microphone are not built into the NX portable device.
- There are at least two shoulder buttons. I havent heard anything yet about triggers.
- Battery Life Ehhh not great. I havent heard an exact number of hours, but it doesnt sound great.
Explain to me what's right with it, without resorting to "but my phone has a 1080p screen", because I can guarantee that almost no games run at that resolution, and the ones that do, look like PS2/early Xbox games, yet kill your battery life.
We needed a new excuse for a thread right about now, because this one is going to be closed any second.

Well one would explain the other, tbf. Active cooling (a fan) is going to eat a bit of battery life.

Just started to read and my god so much "I did this and that, and I..." in the first sentences. Like a teen. There's a way to deal with ego (which is obviously a thing amongst leakers, they're not doing it for public safety or because morals obligations...) when you write something.

I don't like how she says "Shot Down" when everything she posts simply can not be confirmed as a fact.
Anyway, as with all rumours I either think "that sounds cool" or "that doesn't sound cool" and leave it at that. Anyone taking any of this information (which has all been provided without the slightest hint of evidence) as anything more than "something someone posted on Twitter" is a fool and should be ignored.
It's fine to discuss the implications of a hypothetical scenario based on rumours, but to assert them as fact is unbelievably naive.
I Guess its the same devkit that contains an overclocked X1 instead of the custom soc. At least I hope so.
Cooling and battery issues have me a little worried. Hopefully this is something they can fix for launch. Otherwise, the 720p screen and setup sound great.
I'm sure we'll find out soon enough how much of this is true, but overall Emily's roundup builds a convincing picture.
This might be the case. I can't see this iteration being the final product 6 months from launch. The specs and setup may be locked, but the final component parts will not be.
Nvidia are probably putting the custom SoC into production as we speak.

I think this is in relation with this statement from her on twitter: "I feel extremely confident in all of my NX reports."
There's a disclaimer, right at the very start of that article, saying it is all just rumour.

Probably just covering for all realistic storage possibilities. A lot of external hard drives are USB 3.0 now. Plus one extra port for whacky peripherals!

Yeah not sure I understand the logic here. Like 2.0 ports aren't that much cheaper to buy.
I'm not sure what to think about the report that the fan is still noisy. Maybe it's because they still don't have the final chip in the devkits? That would explain also the poor battery life.
Will Nintendo really go for an active cooled NX and higher clocks and compromise the battery life in the retail product? That would be awesome from the computational power point of view. Remains to be seen.
