So I'm researching for my 10 page paper, and I need to know the name of a specific technology. I know what it does, I just don't know what it is called.

Have you heard of the technology that removes frames from television shows so that the commercial breaks are longer? I cannot find any information on this other than mentions of how it works. I've used CQResearcher, InfoTrack, ProQuest, Google, all to no avail. If you know what the tech is called, I would be very glad to know so I can find out more about it, maybe from the people who make it.

To find that, I googled for:

-> shortening television programs to make more room for commercials

Then I looked at the first result, and added "time machine" (in quotes) to the search.
The next search yielded the result above (2nd result).

huh. just goes to show that when you need to find 35 sources it's easy to overlook the easier things.
