I hope this doesn't offend anyone but I honestly cannot understand the levels of social ineptitude required to be in a relationship this intense with someone and somehow not bang.

I've fucked married women, who knew the "bored housewife" trope was actually real? They came after me, we fucked, had our fill and moved on. There was none of this hand wringing doomed by circumstance romance that guy has to justify NOT FUCKING. For context it was through dating apps, no other connection, I didn't know the guys and from what these women told me it was a dead bedroom situation. No daily texting, just arranging the hookups driven by thier side.

I understand that it's a common phrase for someone who plays videogames though so I wouldn't be very anxious about being labelled that way.

Basically the community is too broad to comfortably fit into categories and so it is almost impossible to control opinion and viewpoints. Soooo let's just throw EVERYONE under the bus! Gamers are the worst! Not me though. I mean, I play videogames but I'm not a "gamer". FFS.

It’s the new form of cultural snobbery. It used to be that you would signal your consumer superiority by buying a nice car or expensive clothes and thru your choice of product you showed off your superior taste.

How to do that when you aren’t consuming anything different than the “riff raff”? If you like a comic book movie liked by hundreds of millions there has to be a way to stand out. Thus the need to single out and castigate “Toxic” Bad Consumers in order to demonstrate what a Good Consumer you are.

So we have Game Journalists that think gamers is a dirty word, movie critics who sincerely tell people that they are “bad at watching movies”, etc. All to Consumer Singal that you are the superior (non-“toxic”) consumer.

Basically the same old egotist dick measuring over things you buy, now with added social justice dopamine (cos marketing)

Yup, I took it that way: not everything is black and white and because trans people have it tough does not make everything they do right. And we should not be scared to speak up and have a discussion when we think something is wrong even if the subject is a 'victim' class.

I remember one of those threads. They quote a small excerpt from an old published study regarding bone and muscle mass after a certain duration of decreased testosterone / treatments. It's outdated and the science has been updated in many published studies since then. If one attempts to point that out, even pays to download the peer-reviewed studies and summarizes the findings, I am sure they'd be perma banned.
