I like how they instantly assume gamers are jacking off to a videogame character by comparing it to porn. Last time I watched porn, they were fully naked and doing stuff I never see in video games to such detail. And they were actual humans.

If you think Cammy is porn, then you're quite off the mark. A posing model is porn too, then. Or a girl walking around the beach is porn. I think thats quite a sexist thought. They might feel very good and secure if they can show off their features. So many men showing off their sixpack or buffed arms, is that porn as well?

I don't have a sixpack, but I did cost me a lot of discipline to lose 20+ pounds about 2 years ago. I wasn't drastically overweight, 15 pounds tops ish, but I feel better now and I'm dressing differently too. Those loons aren't in a position to judge me or others who worked for it. Its not like a lot of them just wake up with it.

It's crazy that the "Why women criticise sexualised character designs" thread has gone on so long and is so popular.
In fact it is the continuation of another equally long thread.

A bunch of dudes sitting around trying to pretend that they aren't into artistic depictions of hot women because it might offend real women.

I almost feel bad for some of them as they will surely internalize this and ensure that they are going to struggle when meeting actual women in the real world.

It's like there's this type of male who will be suckered in by an insecure and out of shape female and then poisoned to think that the only way to respect women is to never see them through a lens of sexuality. Imagine trying to project confidence and personality to a woman while fighting yourself all the way on just admitting "yeah she is super hot". How sad.

The easiest solution in the world here is to just do your research and don't buy games that trigger you with this stuff.

If you think that Cammy from SF is hot then just own it. Who freakin cares?

Of course, they are laying down the law on TLOU2 depictions of women. Those are great and that's the last word. Definitely don't criticize those character designs.

I agree with him/her insofar as it's nice when people take the game a certain amount of serious, if for no other reason that to respect the other players time. Board games should be fun and generally relatively simple. Unless youre hardcore, of course but thats a different topic.
But theres no need to be a wanker when dishing out the rules and getting upset that others are having difficulty followibg them.
Hows about he/she/they/them understand the audience and work with them to make it fun? Rather than getting pissed off, it should be fun for all, not just the wanker describing and enforcing the rules.
