Well to add to my previous post on the hypocrisy of certain ResetEra posters, a thread was created about boycotting a Japanese deveoper's games for sexist loli otaku-bait designs. Unlike any Western game with controversy, quite a few posters were defending the devs, and going on about Japanese cultural differences. The thread had an atmosphere of indifference with people going "What can you do? It's Japan." Plus it got barely no attention.
The funniest thing was the mods did a background check on the OP and banned them as a troll account. Like have they ever done that with users creating threads about problematic things in Western games? Done background checks? I've only seen them shut down threads and banned people for console warring before.
