Resident Evil 4 VR Mode releases on December 8 for PSVR2 + Demo

I am impressed and you're right, PC VR costs a fortune to compete - but money isn't really relevant when just talking about what is/could be faster. A top-of-the-line PC VR system is going to be faster than PSVR2, and more so the further in to the future we go.

And as amazing as FR is, clearly it is not enough. Even with FR, PSVR2 does not get 90 or 120fps or above native resolution (or even native resolution) on these AAA ports. Instead it has reprojection, which people hate.

HL Alyx came out 3 years ago, many say it looks better and it runs better than these AAA ports with FR, and Alyx even without FR does not have reprojection, it is a AAA game that can run 120fps native and above native resolution at the same time on PCs.
I played some Alyx just few weeks ago on quest 3.
The lenses are so clear, that for first time ever Alyx starts to look like it's beginning to age.

As for psvr2, when I had it, i found village demo incredibly realistic looking and it's weird when I look at the screenshots I've taken.

For example - I remember inspecting this toothbrush for a good while. It looks so damn detailed and realistic especially shining flashlight at it. it loos like shit when you screenshot it lol.
That small drugs with shadows reacting to flashlight are crazy too. Or the water dripping from fucet. All things I've not noticed in 2d.

Yeah, it's a shame about the headset because I'll tell you Village on the PSVR2 was unbelievable. I wish you could have gone through it far enough to see more. The whole Mansion is fun, but honestly the game gets even better past that and there's some really incredible fights in VR.

I dunno the first section of the game is pretty good, but it's also clearly a tutorial. Maybe you've finished it already so you kinda know how it all goes, but once you get a lot more weapons in VR, it feels like a different game.

Like the later acts I'd say have a lot more in common with RE4. The hordes of enemies, and variety of weapons and inventory management and upgrades and so forth... very RE4-like. And the graphics of it all in VR almost never disappointed. Even though some will say that only House Beneviento truly shines in VR (graphically), for me, nearly the whole game, and especially the factory at the end were amazing.

When you get to that factory - and all the huge moving machines, the lighting is incredible there too, the dark creepy atmosphere and the red lighting and the way you continually climb high and higher up it, it's a totally different feel to it from the other sections and works really well in VR.

RE4 Remake in VR... this game is going to be nuts. Like just watching the trailer I can already see it's going to surpass Village by a lot. That mine cart ride with shooting the targets, all the different guns and locations they have you running through, and how good it will all look. RE4 VR is going to be pure VR bliss IMO. And the irony is, as incredible as it will be, not a damned thing will change because of it. We still won't get any more AAA hybrid ports like this, but we will take it for what it is. A carrot leading us off a cliff to nothing. Enjoy your fall, I sure will!

I at least have over 60 hours on this game and can't wait to play it on PSVR2. Next week is going to be crazy with Arizon Sunshine 2 and RE4 Remake.

Will this come to steam?
No.

Nice, for the twenty odd PSVR2 owners :)
This game will get those numbers up to at least thirty odd PSVR2 owners. :p

Is this going to be indefinitely exclusive to the PSVR like RE7 VR was?
Yes.

Baffles me why they've never released any of their VR stuff on PCVR (RE4 OG on Quest being outsourced). I'd love to play this and RE7 on my Oculus 2. I think you can but using mods, which isn't quite the same. They're missing out on some dollar dollar yo.
Because Capcom doesn't really care about VR. They only made those modes because Sony asked them with buckets of money to do so.

Capcom have been tremendous with their PSVR 2 support. I wonder if they'd consider some VR Monster Hunter?

Anyway, well looking forward to pooping my pants again.
Unless Sony/Meta pays them, don't expect any other Capcom game with VR support.
