I agree, it is a nice freebie/exclusive for the PC version...but I don't like the way it was executed. There's no new melee moves or guns, and the L4D enemies don't have any new attacks because they behave just like RE 6 enemies. It would have been awesome if Capcom treated it like Reunion for RE 5.
Whoever's idea for the limited inventory space in the game should be fired. It works in Bio5 because you get health and ammo pretty freely to where you can drop some of them (and green herbs heal a reasonable amount of health here) in 6 you have to hoard herbs to combine to get the max amount of "pills"/herb healing out of them. 1 herb = 1 block of health which is pretty bullshit on anything above Normal.
The only thing I dislike about the inventory is that it doesn't allow me to discard any gun I don't want. For example, I hate the bear commando/machine guns yet I keep getting the same fucking ammo drops over and over again in the campaign. I get why they don't let you drop them for campaign purposes but it's really annoying.

Yeah, this is my only complaint with the inventory. They should have the inventory screen to put away guns. Dropping them would be nice, even if you could only do it at the beginning of a game.
Well it's that and not enough health. Half the time I'm having to run to the next checkpoint on one bar to die to regain health because they don't give you enough tablets to heal reasonable damage on Veteran.
I gotta finish Leon 4-5 later, but Leon 4 already is better than Leon 2-3. So far I'd rank it as:
Leon 1: 4/5 (bullshit QTE's bring it down)
Leon 2: 2/5
Leon 3: 1/5
Leon 4: 4/5 (<---So far)
Chris 1: 2/5
Chris 2: 2/5
Chris 3: 1/5
Chris 4: 3/5
Jake 1: 2/5
Jake 2: 1/5
Jake 3: 3/5
Jake 4: 2/5
Leon 1 is still the highpoint of the game for me because it's the most like what I want from Biohazard with the exception of the bullshit QTE's that plague it.
Jake and Leon have been pretty boring so far but Jake actually has a few moments that make his chapters worthwhile. Can't say the same for Chris outside of
Ada dies because LOL WE DUNNO WHAT TO DO WITH MIKAMI'S SUPER SPY ANYMORE! TIME TO KILL ALL HIS CHARACTERS OFF, BITCHES!"
From Europe to Antartica to stranded islands, Biohazard: Revival Selection brings gamers across the globe to deal with the zombie outbreak. The Blu-ray disc contains two hit games in the series: Biohazard 4 and Code Veronica.
Code Veronica takes place 3 months after tragic events in Raccoon City. Clair heads off to the Umbrella Corporation Head Quarters to find her missing brother. Biohazard 4 takes place 6 years later, where Leon is sent on a mission to locate the president's daughter.
The graphics are all remastered to HD quality. The zombies become more hideous with all their blood thirst magnified.
That's the way it was on the original Dreamcast Code Veronica cover.
I didn't like Code Veronica, personally. I found it to be pretty weak in terms of characters and the move to 3D wizz-bang camera movement didn't really help the "old-school" style of the game.
I should replay it for the achievement/trophies though... >_>
I actually like the 3D camera in CV. Granted I've only played like 2 hours of the HD edition but it makes traversing the levels a little easier with the tank controls since there are less camera switches.

The advantage of a 3D environment is there is no delay as it switches to the next angle. All the prerendered games have that slight blip as the next background loads. You get used to it, but it was nice not to have that with CV.
Anybody here play duo for high scores? I am looking to break 1.43 + million score on Mining the Depths. It has been difficult to find a good Time Bonus + player who is good at that role.

Haha yeah that's what I meant. I'm on 360 so can't help you there, but most of the Mercs regulars around here actually play on PS3 (I think) so you should be in luck.
Ah, so you haven't read spoilers. You're in for a surprise then.
I wish I hadn't been spoiled with that little tidbit before playing the game, maybe then the story would seem to be interesting. Because outside of the end of Chris' campaign, the game failed to surprise me with anything story wise. For the amount of main characters they throw at you (Leon & Ada, Chris, Sherry "I finally return after being absent for 14 years" Birkin and Jake "Wesker's son" Muller) and the amount of campaigns (4 campaigns, each about 4-5 hours long) the story is pretty meh. For the most part of the game nothing really happens story wise (it's just: we have to move forward) and the interactions between main characters and villains is almost non-existent.
I still have to finish Ada's campaign so maybe then it will get better (I doubt it).
Anyone want to team up for the RE.net event? Looks like you have to have your teams registered by today. Seems like it's an excuse to play lots of Mercenaries, but it can't hurt to see how well things go. Add me on Steam/RE.net; I'm registered as RocketDarkness on both services.
I don't know if I buy it, most of those premises are pretty flimsy. I think the way it is presented in the game is the way it is. I also think I prefer that plotline to any fan theories to the contrary.
Survivors kind of stinks, especially if you don't know where the power weapons spawn. You probably won't be grenade-stunned to death on any of the other modes.
Just broke 1.43 million duo score last night on Mining the Depths. Now I just have to aim for 1.4. I'm currently ranked 108th on the leaderboard on the game. Would be higher if it wasn't for those 9,999,999 hacked scores. According to RE.NET I am ranked 48th.

I only play this mode with friends and even then, power weapons are cruicial for most part. And I only know their location on Urban Chaos. Also if someone has a skill that increases firepower One quickshot with the magnum or elephant killer = dying mode. There's no point in trying to get up either most of the time when someone does the the rapid fire glitch. They really should've fixed this cause then you might have a chance.
I screamed like a girl at the twist. So obvious but made me so happy.
Though it isn't explained outside of LOL CLONES BECAUSE WE'RE COPYING THE MOVIES NOW!
:/
So far I'd rank it as:
Leon 1: 4/5 (bullshit QTE's bring it down)
Leon 2: 2/5
Leon 3: 1/5
Leon 4: 4/5
Leon 5: 4/5 (though the
lighting rod needle bit isn't very well explained. Partner had to do that as I took it up front to try to stab it in his stomach because hey, why not?
)
Overall: 2.5/5 If they removed the bits of Tall Oak's underground the campaign for Leon would've been better bullshit QTE's aside.
Chris 1: 2/5
Chris 2: 2/5
Chris 3: 1/5
Chris 4: 3/5
Jake 1: 2/5
Jake 2: 1/5
Jake 3: 3/5
Jake 4: 2/5

It is explained, partially in Ada's campaign, and also on the emblem files.
For some reason they made the files (that explain a lot of the backstory as well as fill up a lot of the plot holes) missable collectibles, which was a bad choice.
Does it seem likely that a Gold Edition for this game will happen given the negative responses to this game? I suppose an announcement from E3 or Tokyo Game Show?
LOL! There's a petition to make "Lifeguard" Piers as DLC for RE6 going around. Some fan made a mod for RE4 Mercs and it looks really cool. Hopefully Capcom listens and gives us more costume DLC.
Finished Leon's campaign, and I like it aside from some lame QTEs. I was pretty decent at RE5 mercs but I'm going to have to get used to this version. Love the sliding and rolling.

I could see how Chris's revealing samurai costume would be sexually appealing to those attracted to men. It doesn't surprise me he has such a costume given there seems to be a gay fanbase surrounding Chris, at least since RE5. On another thought though why do you think you get to decide what is "gay", i.e what gay gamers find appealing? And another thing to keep in mind is that you are not going to last long on this forum (especially as a junior) if you go around saying things like "that's gay" and "don't make things gay".
Also, why do you think Piers in underpants means he must be gay? Going by your logic just because one of Sheva's costume is a bikini with some accessories (the tribal costume) means she's... a lesbian?
And RE6 is full of oversexualized costumes for women (Helena's cop costume and Sherry's school uniform) so I don't see why there can't be any eye candies for women and gay guys.

I never knew there is a "gay fanbase surrounding Chris". I personally do not find the Samurai costume suggestive in that fashion. I just see it as an alternative costume that got through the final stage unlike other costumes that did not make it through judging from the concept artworks.
Mercs mode is addicting, I just started it yesterday and wish I had picked this up earlier. I loved RE5's but the added mobility in this makes it even better.
