Well ... I was at work today when I found out about the LBP beta invite. I hurried home for lunch and couldn't even register on the crashed Eurogamer site. Still ... one positive came from this. I got to see the RFOM footage which broke just before I cam back from lunch.

Looks freaking sweet. The beta was fun too. I can't wait. LBP, MS3 and RFOM2 are gonna kick so much ass for me this holiday season.

Thanks for posting the links. Wish we had more co-op footage, but my capture kit decided to start dropping frames during the most awesome sections, and I wasn't about to post footage that made the game look like it had non-existent framerate problems. I didn't realize it until yesterday. I almost wept.

We are just glad you were able to capture what you did. Looking forward to impressions.

Additionally, the game will intentionally scale the size of the encounters to match the number of players in the co-op game at one time, so if you go in with one friend, you'll probably face off against individual large Chimera that are tricky to defeat, but possible with some skill. On the other hand, if you move into battle with the full compliment of eight soldiers, Insomniac plans on having up to 100 enemies on screen at once swarming and attacking you. All of these enemies can be of different sizes and shapes, giving your squad a significant challenge.

Although I only had a few hours to play all three modes and check out Resistance 2, it struck me as phenomenally deep -- much more than we'd ever expected. Essentially three full games in one cohesive Blu-ray package, Resistance 2 could easily be one of the largest games of the year and definitely in contention for Game of the Year honors when it is released at the beginning of November.

By now R2 has gone gold or it's gonna go gold any day now.
The developers usually announce a game going gold a few days after it actually did.
So we are almost a month before launch so i guess it's in the final steps of going gold.
Same thing happened with LBP.

I don't know how updated the version they just showed, but i do belive the game will be more polished.
