When just updating the system or the game can make you lose progress if something fucks up, yeah maybe this should have been in at release

I'm socked they never considered that people might not want to sit for a 3+ hour run to beat the game. The ability to save during a run should have been an obvious feature especially for a game that can take hours to finish. Hopefully they'll fix it one day.

Returnal is easily my early GOTY. The game is so much fun.

This save feature would be very welcome, even though I've already platinumed the game.
