I want to like this game so bad. I have a PS5 and nothing to play. I just don't like Rogue lites at all. I feel like I'll pay $70 and quit after 2 hours.

Sony is really setting the bar high, and I'm eager to see how XGS responds. Nevermind whether the devs they have are as good, better or worse, I don't even care about that. It's just the planning, the release management and spacing out across the gen, and the types of titles greenlit and to which dev that Sony has absolutely mastered.

If anything highlights how pathetic these people are its this. Loads of great reviews for what looks a very good game, yet they just cant handle that one review that doesnt like it. Pathetic man children.

Yeah it's like that for me. I'm considering cancelling my pre-order with them and just showing up at Gamestop even though it's 20 miles away. Not pre-ordering through PS Direct(before they sold out) when I had the chance wasn't the wise move here.

They warn you at the start there's no save bro. This guy is actually a moron.Pss, housemarque really drop the ball on this one. This could have been above 90 critical acclaim. I want this game to be successfully for housemarque because most of their games don't sell. Balance difficulty and address the save option during long run would help reviewers and potential buyers tremendously. IGN dock 1 point from 9 to 8 because of the saving option. Wtf. What a major oversight.

Really nice scores. Jeff is not making himself any favors. It is like giving Ori a 6/10 because it is an Xbox game. Ori is a fantastic platformer - that it is on Xbox/PC is irrelevant as a game. Very hard to not think Jeff would have given the game a very different score if it was on Xbox and that is not a good look.

So far sony has released some quality first party titles, MS needs to catch up, now I know they purchased a bunch of studios but maybe when they start releasing them things will even out

I just did. Ordered at Bestbuy it will be ready for pickup tomorrow. LIke wtf? Why preorder if amazon does not have things from their warehouses set to ship day before so games/items get to people on launch day. And i understand if there are issues, but being Prime should guarantee you it arrives on time.
So im done with amazon for anything preorder. Ill stick to my go to which has always been bestbuy.
Yea, Like it get that for some Crackdown 3 is oldschool dumb fun. But to say polish wise, with all the delays it is in the same league as Spiderman that though not perfect in some of the quests/mission design. Is super well made, bug free for the most part, and an overall very well made game.
Crackdown isn't terrible but, to say in terms of polish its in better shape than Spiderman is really reaching. The same goes for that terrible TheGamer review for The Medium. Game looks like a fun romp, but it is not polished to the extent of Remedy game like Control or even ALan wake.

Because the problem is the outlier. When you have something being rated high across the board and you have someone come out of left field, it makes it seem they have their own internal agenda and dont care about the product and want to write their own narrative. All reviewers should be questioned when they lack consistency with a trend thats happening.

Not to get off topic. The last RE I played was on ps1. I remeber a lot of exploring and I had like 4 bullets. Are they still like that or a bit more action?
Well, I am not sure about warning save point, but yes, they do put a warning message about how challenging the game is. For the save during long run, I think its a major oversight on housemarque part, it will put off a lot of gamers for this.

So... it's a rogue like that's bad at being a rogue like according to ShillUp.
Not really thrilled by that outlook as I was hoping for it to be a good rogue like, but I guess that is the problem of not developing it alongside the community like the best in the genre did.
At least it's a great SciFi action game with rogue like elements that will keep you occupied for a few dozen hours.

Who cares, that's the game they want to make. Can't knock a game for something that's intentionally designed. It's like saying you don't like cheeseburgers because it has cheese on it. Can't call it a flaw if you don't like it.

I gladly admit I expected this game to score between 70-80 range. Seems its legit good and its not being slammed for its price or arcade pedigree. Will wait for a sale though, hopefully in the summer or so. Enough to play till then.

No I really can’t do that anymore, I switched to digital early last gen, can’t go back. Well maybe if you could transfer the physical licenses to digital somehow so you could put away the disc.

Are you are supposed to play 1-2 hours and die/restart... until finish it.
That is rogue-like for you... the story envolves each time you die or restart.
You don't need to replay bosses and have shortcuts to reach fast were playing.
PS. But hey you are talking with a gamer that find that auto checkpoints and/or auto saves doesn't need to exists... let me save where and when I want.
