So have you guys noticed how different people interpret the same set of data differently than others?

Like some people say the war in Iraq is good and neccesary, and others say it is wrong and American troops should be withdrawn right now?

And even if you agree with someone on one topic, such as the Iraq war, there is likely some other topic in which you two have very different interpretations?

Haha, no, but would you like to try to answer the questions I asked? They're just yes or no questions. Nothing complex.

I think there's something really subtly funny about this that I can't place my finger on.

Whoa, that's deep dude.

I'll ask again:

I see what you did there.

Is this gonna become multiple pages without anyone answering my simple, yes or no questions?

So have you guys noticed how different people interpret the same set of data differently than others?

Like some people say the war in Iraq is good and neccesary, and others say it is wrong and American troops should be withdrawn right now?

I don't know what your point. When faced with data/figures/facts which hurt ones own beliefs many will twist the figures or facts to conform with there pre conceived beliefs. Or they'll simply rejected the data outright, claiming a methodological error or claim that it's irrelevant etc.

And people don't agree on everything. SHOCK and AWE!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what you're talking about so either you are drunk/high or very smart. I'm not very good at the uber-insightfull stuff though so I'm guessing that it is that later.

I'm not sure what you are asking...

Are you asking if we were presented with a memo that stated "Bin Laden determined to attack the US" how we would interpret that? I think most people would interpret that differently than the president did.

This is what I'm asking:

This is just a yes or no question, and as such, a yes or no answer is all that is required and all that is asked for. Now, can you give me a yes or no answer?

So I picked up these new things i've been wanting to try, Edy's Dibs..

They were still like 3 bucks on sale, normally 4 bucks for a pretty small package but they are sooooo good. I got the mint chocolate ones. So do you all think it would be right or wrong of me to get these again at full price?

Now people are just going to get deffensive and start giving "yes/no" joke answers. Look, you have my respect but you have to understand that your mind is working on a different level than the people in this thread/GAF so at least be patient.

I guess it really depends on the situation and we need to know more. Are those Canadian? I've never heard of Edy's.

Thank you.
Do you want to give me a serious answer?

Hmm...given the information they look like they might be quite a treat. I will have to try and find these "Dibs".

I would if I could but I'm just not understanding the question. I knot that it is simple enough in theory but it is way too deep for me. Maybe this is the sort of question one can only anwers for his/herself? Sorry I cannot be of more help. :(

I could but I'd rather not. You may interpret my answer differently than its intent.

Have you guys noticed that different people like different foods?

And that sometimes we can taste the same foods and come to different conclusions as to whether they are tasty?

And that sometimes you and another person can agree on one topping for the pizza but not on another?

YES OR NO DAMMIT!!

no, neitsche was a philosopher, socrates was a philosopher, voltaire was an observer as was Swift. This was just a stupid question. And stupid questions get stupid answers.

Hey, did you guys ever see that movie with Michael Caine, "Blame it on Rio"? It features a pre-implant Demi Moore cavorting around without a top on, but the real attraction is young Michelle Johnson. I think she might have only been 18 at the time, and let me tell you, SCORCHING HOT BODY.

Anyway, I think if you're a red blooded heterosexual American male, you will enjoy the movie with the sound off.

That just about sums up the thread then. I'm going to blockbuster and renting this movie, eating some Dibs and contemplating how amazing it is people have free will and differing opinions. All while NOT being high.

Right or Wrong? You decide.

Yes...I HAVE noticed how different people interpret the same set of data differently than others

There...happy?

yeah, that's the only real question you asked.
