RIP.

Wildflowers was one of the first albums I listened to fully everytime I played it, instead of just going for the singles. Was also the first album I double dipped on, buying the cassette and upgrading to CD when I got a CD player.

Awful. He's been one of my favorite musicians and personalities for a long, long time. I'm lucky to have seen him perform and to have followed his career for so long.

We lost an all-time great one today.

Real bummer, my fiance and I were thinking about going to the show at the Hollywood Bowl the other week, but we were too busy.

FUCK. I just saw him live for the first time a month or so ago here in Chicago. Glad I got to have the chance. Dude's music was the playlist for some of my college years. RIP

Really busted up over this. Seemed like a great guy and he was a great artist. One of the first artists I liked.

RIP Tom Petty. We lost a legend today.

I don't even know how people can think this, let alone post it. Hope you're happy with yourself.

Most would agree it was poor taste but let's not all jump on the dude. Some folks deal with grief in different ways. I'm sure there was no insult intended, and the fact that one of his lyrics were so quickly associated for the poster shows that Tom Petty had some sort of impact on his life.

Damn.

RIP to a true legend.

Fortunate to be able to see him live twice. The first time I sat upper level to the side of the stage and you could see him switching out his guitar in between every song which I thought was rad.

RIP. I never met him, but I stayed at a house in Hawaii next door to him, where we blasted Heartbreakers stuff almost every night as a form of passive aggressive tribute.

Guy was a legend.

Dammit. That's the 2nd time I had the opportunity to see a legend perform but had to turn it down within the last year (Prince was the other) only to have them pass away shortly afterwards. RIP.
