Eh, it wasn't that tough. I couldn't really get that HOPO riff down though.sneaky77 said:ihave officially hit my first wall in guitar expert.. shakler's revenge
Duck said:Not releasing them in time for the RB2 PS3 and GHWT would be pointless. Assuming the 20-pack has RB2-like quality songs and artists (ie, mostly anything from the Rolling Stones, Radiohead, Lynyrd Skynyd, Iron Maiden, etc), and it launches with the other RB2 SKUs, it steal at least some of the limelight from Guitar Hero. Otherwise, what other purpose would it serve?

TheGreatDave said:If you just bought the PS3 version, why would you want the bonus tracks straight away? I know if it was me, I'd rather have a bit of time with the new tracks I'd just got, then have something to look forward to. Those DLC tracks ain't gonna distract from the release of a whole game, if anything GH:WT would overshadow them.
Haha nice...BrandNew said:I'm so getting a Klytts of Fire poster.

To be fair, we had three consecutive non-metal weeks (Locksley, PAX Pack, Devo), with one of them actually being worthy of a purchase (Locksley).saunderez said:I'm of the same opinion. I'd probably be happy if Moving Pictures was actually released, but this is Week 6 of not even considering any DLC. If they announce another week of metal I'm gonna be bitching like there's no tomorrow. Give me the goddamn Stevie Ray Vaughn, just something for some variety!
Hell, give me that The Offspring pack that was rumoured a while back and I'll shut up for another 6 weeks. I promise!
Harmonix will likely sell the AC/DC "expansion" for $29.99 and include various documentaries of AC/DC like GH Aerosmith. And they'll have AC/DC branded merchandise in the game.TAJ said:I'm surprised that anyone thinks they'll be able to pick and choose songs from the AC/DC expansion. I just don't see Walmart selling DLC in their stores, so it's likely a disc.
There's no way you'll be able to rent it and export the songs. A code will be involved if you want to export, like the code for the 20-pack.Duck said:And even if they don't, the AC/DC expansion will probably have an export feature and it'd be much cheaper to actually rent it and export than it would to buy off the store, and that wouldn't be a bad thing.

Which is why Harmonix would put a redemption code in the back of the instruction manual to allow a one time expert.TheGreatDave said:They'd be insane to put an export feature on a new disc, if this "expansion" did happen, and have them play in RB1 and 2. Everybody would just rent it.

StrikerObi said:On some level I'm really hoping the 20-Free pack is a bunch of indie stuff. Harmonix has said they want to blow up more indie bands via Rock Band. They aren't top-tier so they can't really be on the disc (except for a the usual few) but a 20-pack of all indie stuff would be amazing. I would kill for The Hold Steady.

They are giving away 1000 tracks a day. I actually won one from yesterday! Granted, 1000 a day is a lot and doesn't seem like a lot of people know about it yet. Woo!
I'll be home for lunch in about 10 mins, add me to your friends list and I might have a quick bash with you before I head back to work. Gamertag is saunderez.Saerk said:Btw if anyone wants to play shoot me an invite. Im online but not actually playing. I put the game on no fail*, chose some a playlist of like 40 randomly. Im just letting it play to listen to some music.
WTF? This is real? :lolTheGreatDave said:Guitar Praise trailer
I want to play it SOOOO badly. It looks like hyperspeed is the default on expert, Jesus ain't fuckin' around.

you can plug the bass drum pedel into the new strat, and use it to activate overdrive. cool feature they haven't advertised at all
It's pretty sad when Rock Band 2 can't even measure up to Guitar Praise.High scores are recorded per song, per instrument and per (difficulty) level.
It makes sense. Wasn't Battle Mode one of the biblical plagues?TheGreatDave said:Guitar Praise also has a rockin' multiplayer mode where you can unleash attacks. Get with the times, Harmonix.
Sorry about being a no show, my net connection was downSaerk said:Thx for the games guys. I didn't realize how worn out I was until I played songs like Ramblin Man. I normally can maintain that speed, but my arms felt spent.
I agree, I'm finding Battle of the Bands awesome because I have something to aim for. Not so much in any other mode.AstroLad said:i really wish rock band had something like geo wars 2 where you saw the scores of all the friends around you when you select a song. i don't even push for high scores at all but it would definitely make me give it a shot.
Yeah, that's a feature I'd have really appreciated as well. It really does seem like they've taken a step back regarding score-displaying.AstroLad said:i really wish rock band had something like geo wars 2 where you saw the scores of all the friends around you when you select a song. i don't even push for high scores at all but it would definitely make me give it a shot.

That's an awesome idea!Xevren said:That would definitely be nice. Wish it had what that new guitar hero is doing where you can go straight to the leaderboards after the song ends. That's pretty cool.
The leaderboards update so slow because of EA's servers that going straight to the leaderboards would be useless :lolXevren said:That would definitely be nice. Wish it had what that new guitar hero is doing where you can go straight to the leaderboards after the song ends. That's pretty cool.
I don't know which songs I need to work on now, and epic victory laps like this...BobFromPikeCreek said:Yeah the absence of stars when displaying scores upset me greatly. Gold stars feel so pointless now. :/
