Yeah, 'cause everyone LOVED Raining Blood in GH3.

fuck yeah that shit was awesome, the games really need more stuff you can just go crazy and rock out too. there's more now after all the RB DLC but it's still rather lacking.

Where's the hardcore?

While we're just throwing shit out there, give me Iron Maiden's Live after Death album, and a Rick Springfield pack for my wife.

:lol

I hope they keep rounding out some artists to 3-packs. Preferably Modest Mouse, Talking Heads, or Elvis Costello.

Or they could keep releasing middle fingers at GH:WT, like Love Spreads.

um, please don't, unless it's going to be tool. I'd rather not have more fucking repeats, there's enough as it is.

AND I CANT FUCKING STAND IT. GET YOUR OWN GOD DAMN SONGS.

Yeah but then we won't get 20 fun pages of note chart comparisons.

There's always the solution of NOT picking up GHWT.

only if RB gets EVERYTHING I wanted from the game, and I don't think they're adding a music studio or another pad on drums, so um, don't think so.

Does it really benefit them to release GHWT songs? I'm not buying GHWT for Love Spreads, but I didn't buy Love Spreads because it's in GHWT.
Well, if they can get some of the bigger songs, they might be able to sway some of the "fence-sitters" over to the RB camp.

the way I see it is that they benefit more from having different songs, as it will encourage someone who already owns RB to pick up the game more. They really should be trying to get people to buy GHWT in ADDITION to RB and not instead of

I've decided to go this route. I've now bought 3 Guitar Hero games for my 360, and Activision has screwed me every single time on DLC. Rock Band delivers weekly.

I can see it not mattering to someone without broadband, but for me I'm through with Activision's lack of DLC. I'm not spending $60 to only ever have the 12 (and decreasing all the time!) songs that aren't duplicated in Rock Band and I actually want.

Why would they want to encourage sales of their competitor's product? I know Harmonix say that they just want people to play music games and enjoy music, but they are a company. And said company needs to eat.

I'm all in favor of a one-band-game future! And I'm completely set on the Harmonix train for various reasons.

yeah great point, I'm trying to look at it from GHWT's view though, not harmonix. of course harmonix should put out as much as possible that GHWT has - thing is GHWT released their setlist after harmonix already had 10+ of those songs already released. GH should be trying to differentiate themselves to get sales for their OWN product, including from people who already own rock band, and having different songs would encourage this I think

Looks like they're trying to pump those albums out as fast as they can!

3 weeks, 3 albums? Geez! I'm not one to complain. Don't know if I'll pick up the whole thing, but I'll give it a spin this weekend.

Okay, someone list off the 5 best songs from BSSM.

I dunno, I haven't listened to it since I was in my buddy's basement in junior high.

Was Sir Psycho the one about the stripper cop or something?

Hope there are decent singles, cos I ain't touching an incomplete album.
umm.... but it would only be incomplete UNTIL you got RB2, which I am assuming is an inevitability... just saying. I agree that it's a pretty crappy practice, but if RB2 is a forgone conclusion the decision should be easy.

My Guitar Hero III 360 controller is almost completely dead and out of warranty so it's time to replace. Are people happy with the RB2 guitar? I need some advice on what to replace it with.
