Don't really care for the Rush album so some other surprise tracks are welcome. And start putting up some GOOD Dream Theater songs damnit. Constant Motion and Panic Attack(RB2) are not really the classics we are waiting for.

BTW any chance RB 2 will be region free on 360? I'm one of the few suckers who bought some european hardware and the game and i would like to play RB 2 when it is released in the US..

I am actually scratching my head on how you can be demanding dream theater in the breath right after saying you don't care for the Rush album. weird.

If they put up some crap DLC shitfest to make up for Rush I am going to be mad...

BTW Shitfest = NIN, Pixies, Cruefest Pack 03, Pixies, Grateful Dead, Pixies, Earache Thrash Pack, Pixies, Disturbed, and Pixies

PS: Sorry to everyone that is angered by the above list (expect any Pixies fans, you can go to hell)

Never really got into Rush. I've actually seen them live and it was awesome but i never took the time to really listen to their music. And i don't really dig the vocals..

Maybe i will download YYZ and Tom Sawyer but that's it.

The Rush pack would push the song count just past 256. I wonder if that is related to the technical holdup?

I would hope that they had more foresight than to use 8-bit integers to address the songs/content.

OH MY GOD.

THEY ARE HOLDING OUTFITS HOSTAGE VIA DLC.

I FUCKING LOVE IT.

(Seriously, you know that's a prize for Ultimate Judas Priest challenge. Fucking BRILLIANT, Harmonix. YOU'VE FORCED MY HAND. I will now have to buy fucking EVERYTHING.)

It's for paths so I think they just mean: bass, guitar, vocals, drums... maybe beating the marathon one will count as well or all of the decades.

I suspect that the snake is for beating bass based only on their mentioning of Wayne's World in describing it. You may also get the snake unlocked automagically for being Salma Hayek.

I suspect that Judas Priest or not you're getting those chaps for beating vocals. Also, why must they be assless chaps... aren't all chaps by definition assless?

I know it all comes down to personal preference, but man Grateful Dead songs are fun. Really fun.

The first Dead pack is in my opinion some of the best full-band DLC yet. And this is coming from someone who was never a fan, and only ever heard the hits like Casey Jones and Truckin'.

To my surprise, the songs I didn't know are the ones that get the most play. Especially Sugar Magnolia. I love singing that song sooo much.

Franklin's Tower, China Cat Sunflower, and I Need a Miracle are a lot of fun too. Especially on guitar.

You're missing out mannn.

Pssht. It's Tia Carrere dude, of Crucial Taunt.
See, you don't know everything about music. ;)

There's something so awesome and so sad if this is the issue. Sad that they'd be using an 8bit filing system...awesome that the problem is resulting from there simply being TOO MUCH MUSIC.

Also, it's cool we get an additional day of waiting for a music announcement this week. For some reasons, I like them better than actual release days. Of course, we get major album announcements tomorrow and friday, so that's awesome, too.

Blue > Pinkerton > Maladroit > Red > Green > Make Believe.

Not counting Red which I haven't heard (the reviews were so terrible and based on Make Believe - which I also didn't buy - I'm not giving them the benefit of any doubt here) I'm in complete agreement with Dave's list.

I'd definitely like "In the Garage" to be released because I get a sick sort of enjoyment from playing songs that I can play IRL in the game. It does, however, completely fuck me up on guitar because I'm only used to the bass part and I find myself listening to it more closely.

QFT. I never cared for the Dead despite having a Deadhead half-sister, but this DLC has seriously started to change my opinion. I mean, I'm not going to go hang out in front of their old house up on Ashbury all night, but I might stop by the next time I'm up there (which is probably going to also involve picking up some CDs from Amoeba).

FAIL!

While Tia Carrere did play Cassandra of Crucial Taunt (much better than the Jolly Green Giants and the Shitty Beatles) that was a reference to Salma Hayek's strip act as Santanico Pandemonium in From Dusk 'Til Dawn where she initially comes out wearing a snake. I have both movies on my shelf right now.

My girlfriend, when asked what her stripper theme would be, has said that she'd like to have a snake. I'm very, very afraid of snakes. She just went back for a second round of lap dance lessons the other night. Do I need to be very afraid now?

Why couldn't she have chosen the almost always excellent schoolgirl theme or even nurse or something. Why does she have to prey on my fears? Next thing you know it'll be spiders on a tall, precarious ledge while the lid of the toilet is left open (Seriously people stuff will fall into it! Close your toilets! It's just plain disgusting as well).

Speaking of music related things with Dead in the name, I'd rather like Dead! by MCR to be DLC. Despite really not liking the band, it was a really pleasant surprise how fun it was to play in GH2.

And speaking of GH2, just release the majority of the songs from that game. Cause that had an AWESOME tracklist.

Shit.
I should have realized that.

I'm 100% on board with this post.

I've always liked you.

Red is good. You just have to go in to it understanding that Rivers isn't going to write emo, teenage lyrics for you any more, and he's just gonna say shit that rhymes and sounds nice.

The Shitty Beatles.. are they any good?

Really? Troublemaker, Heart Songs, and Everybody Get Dangerous sound like the same old River lyrics to me.

Whatever happened to the Madden 09 Album? Think we might get it now?
Nah, I think some HMX guy on the RB forums stated that it only applied to a few songs, or something. I don't think we're getting any more Madden tracks.

I dunno, I think a lot of people like the old Pinkerton/Blue girl heavy lyrics, while the more recent songs tend to lean away from that. There's nothing on Red with the kind of message of Falling For You, Only In Dreams or El Scorcho, you know?

Ms. Sweeney is the only one that comes close to that, and even then it's only contained in the chorus.

And you as well. Now let us have sloppy Anglo-American Internet Makeouts.

You mean Rivers got over his Asian-girl fetish? And is no longer into hot redheads either? Man... I identified with that so much! Say it Ain't So!!

I never really got into the emo lyrical crap to be honest. I just thought they made some damn good songs. The sort of simple, excellent rock that isn't afraid to actually just go out there and rock for the sake of rocking your ass on a bus full of rock to Rock Town, pop. Rock.

ROCK!

Great, now that movie's going to be stuck in my head the rest of the day.

That's about all he had going for him.

EDIT: Also, he was good at writing Cheap Trick songs.

Jon Bovi? Maybe I'll bite. I'll probably just get Runaway. Oh, and You Give Love a Bad Name of course.
