OK, not saying anything about this list, as it really should be treated as a 'wish list' more than anything else. But it did show up in my work email...and that is known only to industry professionals that I've given my business card to.
Really seems to be a mix of stuff that's known and 'wish we had's. Still, wouldn't mind seeing Rhiannon, Magic Man, and Kiss Me Deadly.
"Pressure" Paramore
"Misery Business" Paramore
"Gold Lion" Yeah Yeah Yeahs
"Agony" The Muffs
"Head Over Feet" Alanis Morissette
"Swamped" Lacuna Coil
"Crazy On You" Heart
"Barracuda" Heart
"Magic Man" Heart
"Take It Off" The Donnas
"Losing Grip" Avril Lavigne
"The Warrior" Scandal
"Kiss Me Deadly" Lita Ford
"Shot Of Poison" Lita Ford
"You Learn" Alanis Morissette
"Ironic" Alanis Morissette
"I love Rock And Roll" Joan Jett
"Light Of Day" Joan Jett
"Never Say Never" Romeo Void
"Enjoy The Silence" Lacuna Coil
"Rhiannon" Fleetwood Mac
"Spiderwebs" No Doubt
"Hella Good" No Doubt
"Dont Speak" No Doubt
"Just A Girl" No Doubt
"Sunday Morning" No Doubt
"Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)" The Offspring

Avril would make some people happy. And Dave would love more excuses to talk about Hayley's candy floss.

Would like to see the Joan Jett though. What's the context of the list? Did it get emailed as a possible list of upcoming songs?

As I said, it's best to treat this as a wish list. It just has an uncanny resemblence to a list of tracks Harmonixs might have if, say, they wanted to push for a more female-fronted set list.

Oh, and Scandal's "The Warrior" is a must-get.

"Gold Lion" Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Stop picking bad Yeah Yeah Yeahs songs! We were on to a good thing with Date With The Night, now we're back to shit like this? Really, there's no need to pick anything from Show Your Bones.

At least it's the best song on the album!

I've bought the PAX pack. Just for the charity, you know?

Not played anything but drums yet, I did awful on the rap one and the Coulton one has some RTTH style beatings for me in the chorus. But I'm playing on expert when I really shouldn't be. Especially cos I only got my 360 back today.

Skullcrusher Mountain looks fun. My girlfriend said it was fun to play. It may be worth the money alone.

Playing through on guitar now. I thought I would hate that rapper's song, but it's kinda fun. It's one I know will be a bit of a challenge to gold star, but it's completely possible. I got like 99% but I just lost my combo one or two times too many.

Still, you're doing nothing in the verses, which is a bit blegh

Shh... is kinda generic. Got a gold star. Probably won't ever play again.

Skullcrusher Island is OK. I didn't goldstar it, which is kinda humiliating. My hand hurts. I'm rusty. The song is sorta fun, keeps you busy on the neck at least.

After seeing how awesome Skullcrusher Mountain is, there is now no excuse to not have some Weird Al original content in this game.

Seriously Harmonix you NEED to make this happen.

So, at work today I accepted a €100 bet from a friend of mine that I would be able to play a "Moderate" difficulty song (on hard) on the drums blindfolded and score on or over 87%. (He wanted 90%, I wanted 85% so we settled there. The songs I can play includes DLC, and I have three attempts to do it over the next two weeks with him watching.

I just gave it a go after I came home, and it is much harder that I thought. Even if I close my eyes mid song I always lose my place and end up failing. :(

I currently have 17 songs available in the selected difficulty

- Call Me
- More Than A Feeling
- Blitzkrieg Bop
- Volcano
- Cheeseburger in Paradise
- All The Small Things
- Should I Stay Or Should I Go
- Time We Had
- I Fought The Law
- Learn To Fly
- Margritavile
- Don’t Look Back In Anger
- Live Forever
- Black Hole Sun
- Day Late Dollars Short
- The Hand That Feeds
- Wonderwall

Any tips on a good song to pick (or maybe another to download). I was thinking of one with a beat the repeats a lot through the song, but cant settle on one. Also, I think I am going to use the three attemps togeather near the end of the two week deadline...

... I currently think I am going to fail, and I am out €100 though :(

Blitzkrieg Bop barely changes, from what I remember.

Just tried... seems like a much better choice than what i was going to pick (an Oasis song). I even managed to keep some kinda beat going when I closed my eyes.

I think I just gotta learn when the beat changes from red/yellow to red/blue and I might have a chance :D

Blitzkrieg Bob should be cake. I could probably do that on Expert blindfolded and get 95% + if I practiced once or twice.

Pretty much all the Oasis songs do that. Same with Blitzkrieg Bop, Time We Had, and Learn to Fly. I'd stay away from the Jimmy Buffett songs as they change up the beat a lot.

Oh hey look it's a bunch of female artists... and the Offspring. :lol

I noticed that as well. :lol :lol :lol

It's probably future DLC since that list contains quite a few No Doubt songs which we all assume will be coming out as a "Best of" album.

It's funny that you put "The Hand That Feeds" there. To beat that song on expert, I had to learn the beat and look away from the screen. For some reason, the scrolling notes would throw me off.

So yeah, Skullcrusher Mountain is awesome and hilarious on vocals. It ties Still Alive as funniest song in the game.

Haven't tried any of the other instruments on it yet.

Ultron, your avatar is a bit too tall...so you don't get dinged, you can replace it with this. Just rehost...

Thanks, I guess when I set it I only managed to pay attention to the width and not the height.

Silver on expert!

Have they talked about changes to the quickplay multiplayer for RB2 yet? I really want know if they have some sort of way to tell other people how much DLC I have. I am sick of getting kicked from rooms by the host because he picks me as the one he thinks has no songs (even though I have 74 songs).

They said they have SOMETHING in mind, but I don't know what.

By the way, playing online with DLC is SOOOOO awesome.

I wish they would get rid of the whole host thing, have the song choice in rotation, so everybody gets a go. And ranked guitar duals shouldn't always be random.

I used to have a rather awful mullet. I tried to use the excuse that I was bringing the style back, no-one believed me. So, now I have my long hair, but it's not as bad thanks to my gay stylist.

Aside from a minor trim every couple years I haven't had a haircut since '99 excepting the one restyle I needed after it started growing in. My hair grows quickly. It probably only took me about two years or so before it was roughly waist-length.

Been busy all weekend, but now I'm back.

I love you for telling me that.

Also, Katy Perry. Not just hate. But with a passion. Musically, sure, it's catchy, buy also it's grating, her voice is annoying, and the lyrics are bloody meaningless, "oh i kissed a girl on the lips once at a party HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE i'm a naughty little girl" whoop de fucking do, the video doesn't even justify it by scenes upon scenes of girls making out oh wait no there's no making out just a quick sneaky kiss from someone with a boyfriend. It's like the Disney Channel attempt at being raunchy, a kiss on the lips is as far as it'll go. On the radio too much. Only this and the Archers Theme have had me actually diving for the off button when I hear it. Actually, no, I that should be our national anthem. But that's something else entirely. So it'll make girls make out at clubs and stuff when it's played? Well fuck it I don't know if it's just parties I'm at but it doesn't need this song for girls to be snogging at parties, which is a step further than kid Katy's quick peck on another woman. And that cover art. Just look at the face. You just want to punch that ":O what i do wars i norty?!?!?" trying to look sweet and innocent smug stupid annoying face.

This rant gets longer each time I repost it.

I was at a party a while back where a couple of girls started getting naked and having out-and-out sex with each other in front of an appreciative audience sitting about a foot away from them. Sure part of it was because they wanted to be seen (at least, for one of the two), but the other part was a desire for naked time and all of the bedrooms being taken already by people sleeping.

I had a girlfriend at the time and the fact that I still have the same girlfriend is probably due to the fact that I was instead forced to remain engaged in an incredibly dull conversation with some hippie about water management happening in the other direction as a good mutual friend of ours was also there.

So until we have a song that helps encourage reasonably attractive girls to get naked and go licky-licky on each other I'll side with the anti-Katy faction here.

Just finished playing through Dude and Catastrophe and Skullcrusher Mountain... it's astounding to me that these songs are actually in the game. Dude and Catastrophe's pretty easy on guitar, but I still had fun with it, though I imagine vocals is where it shines. Skullcrusher Mountain's pretty damn fun on guitar.

Played Shhh.... as well, and... well, it's okay I guess.

I never saw JonathanEx's extended rant. Its better.
I'm quite worried where it'll go from there. Even I don't know what my over the top reaction to the song will be next. (Actually, I think she's being interviewed on Radio 1 next week, Scott covering the breakfast show... that'll be plenty of hate time).

I should say though, the diving across the room to the radio actually happened.

My quibble on these songs is that they always have a superior studio versions behind them. Every song I hear live differs from the album version (which is only to be expected). But what generally makes it worse is how most dumb down, or change parts for pretty much no reason other then variety.

It's like when I watched a Rock Band segment on Forigner and how they said they don't even know how to play certain parts of the song Juke Box Hero anymore because they change it every night. That is bullshit in my eyes. Probably because I am really anal about minute details, but I can hear the single missed notes, or slight rhythm change. For those reasons (to me) live music gets lumped into being not only unpurchasable, but also unlistenable.

I hope the Who pack was the end, but being that Guitar Hero 3 DLC got some only leads me to believe that more will eventually come out.

The studio version does not have the awesome bass solos that the live version has. Unfortunately we also didn't get the 14 minute or so version that's on the album.

The Who were a great live band. They knew how to play and they worked well together so we got some great jams where they were able to take a song and really run with it giving it plenty of energy and improvisation. The studio versions... well, it's often missing that on most of their songs.

Bass, however, is where it's really at most of the time on these. Compare the basslines of the live songs in the pack to the studio songs and it's just night and day.

Mills makes the Breakfast Show worth listening to.
