so did anyone at the panel ask about PS3 compatibility between RB1 and GH3/A? You know, that patch they have done and Sony is holding onto? I think that the "new attitude" Sony would be more apt to release this patch and I'm wondering if HMX has reapplied for release.

Oh, you think it's to do with the song itself? Oh no, it's because of YYZ. Not a technical reason - but a legal one. Because of the lack of vocals, that makes it fall outside the current patent contracts and licensing: and it's a legal threat from Konami and Activision because they have different patents licensed for the the GH series with and without vocals because of the change in recognition.

You are missing out then on such a silly little quibble to have. It is like saying you wont by songs sung by women either. Or maybe songs that are made by a certain country. My Generation and Young Man Blues are fucking amazing. Summertime Blues is fun as well, but the whole band experience wtih Young Man and My Gen are just some of the best the game can do. And if you want epic drums, Young Man Blues.

Let's talk about how awesome Peace Sells...But Who's Buying will be.

-Good Mourning/Black Friday will be epic on every instrument.

-My Last Words has my vote for potentially the best bass song in the game.

-Bad Omen sounds like a great guitar track, and has an epic bassline too.

-The intro solo to Devil's Island will probably fail out more Guitarists than any other song.

There are so many great solo's and riffs on this album, it's unbelievable.

I posted my metal pack for today earlier this morning. It didn't get much fanfare, even though it's got some of the most insane technical drumming I've heard in a long time.

Instead, it goes off the rails with this Kate Perry tripe.

What are people buying this week?

I'm not sure I'm going to purchase any tracks this week. None of them really appeal to me. I need to save my MS Points for the next album release.
 
I might buy the PAX pack once I'm sure the songs are fun to play... I am happy to give a bit of cash to Childs Play anyway (although I am MS will still be taking some, wont they :().

That's all the coming this week? Right?

Nothing for me. And my need for Moving Pictures is waning considering I'll be playing Rock Band 2 in a couple of weeks. The Offspring pack would've been swell, but nope - not coming.

Far as I know, yea.

I'm getting the PAX pack. Just put down for a pre-order of RB2 at Best Buy (free t-shirt, woo) and since this pack will put my at 600 points I'm gonna hold off next week so I know I can do the disc copy on the 14th.

Probably just the Coulton song for me this week unless I look at the charts for the other two and they look really fun. But Skullcrusher Mountain is just gonna be a blast for singing. So that one is definite.
