But seriously, I'd rather have ten Anarchy Club songs than one Vagiant song, because at least they're not non-stop chugfests.

Maybe he had internet or real life issues. Has it been confirmed in Rockband 2 whether or not they've fixed online play? It's flat out stupid that the entire band fails if someone leaves in the middle of a song. We failed one time even after making it to the big band finish. Totally unacceptable. Of lesser concern, can one suppress the listing of songs that everyone in the band doesn't have? I've always thought it was strange that they would show all the grayed out songs and it's become more annoying the more songs I buy.

The Tia Carrera version from Waynes World is a hundred times better, the one on disc is just fucking horrible.
 
I just bought a 4000 point code from microsoftpointsxbox.com but it says the code is invalid when I try and type it in. I've typed it out 5 times on the dashboard and copy and pasted it 3 times from the email into xbox.com so I know the fault isn't at my end. What the hell is going on? It worked perfectly fine last time I bought points.

It's the worst cover on the entire disc. I love the song, but it's up there with GH2 "Killing in the Name of" for shit singer. Only played it maybe 2 times due to it sucking so bad.

so, how come in this thread is lamenting the fact that GHWT got Tool? What do you guys think the odds of RB2 nabbing some Tool are?

I would REALLY like all my music to be on a single 'platform'.

Say "no!" to a monopoly! Support everybody!

I like exclusive bands. They are always treated well. But I doubt Tool are exclusive. It seems like something Activision would be more vocal about.
 
I don't think we'll see Tool in RB for a long time, it took a completely separate and unique venue to even get them in Guitar Hero, I doubt they're just going to release Vicarious as DLC easily.


Speaking of exclusive bands, I wonder when their contracts with Activision/HMX expire. They can't be exclusive forever.
 
Fully preordered the PS3 hardware bundle today. This is going to be my first purchase of any RB/GH thing. A friend gave me GH3 and I've played RB with friends for easily 40 hours though. Can't wait to get. Btw, Tool fucking sucks.

Maybe for some. I just haven't heard any Tool songs that sound musically interesting enough to be in these types of games... I lump them with NIN in "yeah, they might be good, but everything has its time and place."

Tool songs would be incredibly fun in these games. It's not surprising you think the band is similar to NIN since you don't listen to them.

Any tips for beating Foreplay on hard drums, please? I just can't do the red/green+bass notes. I can finish most songs on hard in the final difficulty (including WGFA and Perfect Drug)...but I just can't do Foreplay/Long Time at all
