Yeah I live in atlanta and mom and pop shops dont exist, I almost got the game at blockbuster but the manager came over and shit on me telling the other clerk 'ITS NOT OUT YET'


But I am finally getting a drum throne at guitar center today after work, I've been playing on a plastic chair since december..stupid i know i am.

Good news! going to get my 360 wireless RB2 drum set now. This shit better be sturdy, I replaced my RB1 set maybe 6 times. I can't do that anymore (thanks best buy warranty).

Looks comfy, I have a lazy boy (not suede or whatever yours is) but that's for the regular games. I think I just suck but I cant finish drum tour on hard so I figured a drum throne might be a psychological boost for me

I first played on an ottoman, then an office chair, then a Poäng, now I play on a proper throne. All it's changed is how high I set the kit and how I kick (which is actually pretty important).

well the thing about it in Tour mode is that they don't even show any score at all. It is just the song, the number of stars you got, and the difficult you played it on. And the number of stars you got (like I said in my example) may or may not be representative of how many stars you achieved on the difficulty level displayed. It's pretty fucked up for those that care about like tracking your scoring/performance and trying to best your own scores. It's actually really fucked up the more I think about it, kinda pisses me off. Why change what isn't broken......

Though there's no way I'm not getting this game, this is a huge minus. Beating my old scores is the main reason I play these types of games. If I don't have my 360 connected to the net and therefore don't have the leaderboards to tell me my top score, are you saying there's no way what that score is? Maybe somewhere hidden in the options?

Here's an odd question, but does anyone else have the RB1 problem where you play a DLC sogn and you randomly get a 'dirty disk' error when you're done the song? I want to know if the same thing happens in RB2.

I still mainly use scorehero to track all my scores. It's done manually, which is more of a hassle than most people would want, but I'm just so used to doing it that way.

There are Walmarts everywhere, even in BFE Kansas.

LOL, there are only 11 Walmarts in Los Angeles County, population 10.4 million, (For the same reason there are 0 in New York City. Land is fucking expensive)and even those are fairly new. There's only one within 40 minutes of me, and that one is only three years old.

Nope, not that I've seen. The only score they seem to display is one over-arching score representing your best point total when playing that song, regardless of instrument or difficulty. In theory though you could still attempt to beat that score, but it won't break the scores down by instrument or difficulty, just that one singular score.

Please....nobody buy MS points from that link that was on the previous page, they are more expensive than just buying them at the store. They are adding $3 on top of the MS Points Cards (i.e $23 for 1600 points when you could buy it at stores or on XBL for $20)

Yeah, I thought that was really wonky too....

But (and unless I'm retarded) the problem is that it doesn't save the score by instrument or difficulty level.....just one score, which happens to be displayed in the quickplay section.

He's specifically mentioned this being an issue with World Tour, which is exactly how it was in the first game as well. Granted, it could very well be an issue with quickplay as well, but we haven't seen evidence pointing one way or the other on it.

Wow, perfect fucking timing. My 360 disc drive died on me today while playing Forza. It started grinding and making noise so I ejected the disc. The game is fine, but now the drive will not spin and only makes some noise like it's attempting to move.

I'm off to buy an arcade unit so I can play RB2 tomorrow. This will be my fourth 360.

The new Rock Band 2 drums (not the Ion ones) are pretty nice. I'm surprised at how much quieter they are, and a bit bouncier which works well. The pedal is more solid, although after a year of beating the crap out of my plastic one it still works. The plastic bars that replaced the metal ones are good as well, much quieter. Overall, I'm pretty happy with what seems to be a fairly minimal upgrade. They just fixed what was broke without going nuts.

I put some last minute effort into RB1 to raise some scores. 5 starred a couple I hadn't before: Maps, Flirting with Disaster, and that New Pornagrapher's song. I raised some other scores substantially and gold starred Green Grass. My new replacement set definately is an improvement. I knew mostly what was holding back alot of scores was the drum set. My wrist started to be aggravated again from a previous injury, so I stopped early. That is probably the last I'll play the first game. Onto Rockband 2 tomorrow, although I may just play guitar for the first couple days.
