I guess you can't change the build of your rocker once you started the game right? My
e-persona is not fat enough :/...I was just in such a hurry to start playing when I got it at 4am yesterday at walmart.

I don't think it's a big deal to create a new character and delete the old one this time around. The characters aren't tied to an instrument, and money/scores seem to be associated with your band rather than a character.

I was sorting my songs in quickplay and, god damn, I have alot of DLC. DLC is at 104 and it was a longer list then RB1 + RB2 (what I had unlocked at that time).

I must say I have the habit of using star power at the worst times. I'll use it and find out I just used it at the tail end of a section, and now I get to enjoy watching my star power drain over an empty note section.

My god, I'm sore today. :lol

Me and two friends played for 8 hours plus yesterday, we've got 420,00 fans now.

So much fun. BWT is much improved, I don't have to play Say It Ain't So fifty times to progress. And generally all the charts are more interesting than RB1.

I will be playing this game for a LONG time.

You know whats shit though? The Paramore song in this game. So boring. Misery Business would have been much better.

The note chart is lame on expert guitar. It has you playing the lead fills instead of the rhythm guitar parts. Yeah yeah yeah you're supposed to be the lead guitarist, but I'd rather play a few chords instead of two spaced out random notes over and over. It almost feels like you're doing the bass part.

It's still stupid. From what I can tell, they BARELY changed ANYTHING related to player customization.

Yeah, that's my biggest gripe. Face/style/hair are exactly the same.

The Rock Shop sucks too. Punk, Goth, Rock, and Metal are all recycled crap from RB1 too. All my characters are stuck wearing stuff out of the Thrift store just so I can see something new.

I have been combing the web and can't find a concrete answer.

I have paid my points and exported the songs from RB1 to my hard drive. Do I need to hold on the the RB1 disc still?

Game Rush will give me $32 for it. :D

I got a 30 dollar drum throne at guitar center on saturday, it makes a big difference. I actually enjoyed playing green grass and high tides for the first time ever.

Only if you want to play Run to the Hills, Enter Sandman or Paranoid.

I'm finally on the home stretch of World Tour where you
become a rock immortal lol
and get to play all the really hard metal songs in the game. With Shoulder to the Plow, I was one note away from failing out several times near the end. Glad I don't have to play that shit anymore.

Almost Easy on expert guitar, on the other hand, has to be the most fun song in the game. I love it. Chop Suey is pretty awesome as well.

Try as was suggested earlier. There is a place in the network settings on the 360 where you can set the MAC address (under Additional Options or something). Set it to the MAC address of his PC and disconnect his PC from the network and see how you go.

Is it under alternate MAC adress? Because I changed it and it's still not working

I'm too sore from drumming yesterday, so since I'm bored and can't play at the moment I'll just give my thoughts on some of the songs I've played so far.

Ace of Spades 08 - Not the original, but at least it's back in some form. One of the coolest songs from the original GH.
Alabama Getaway - Only played it on hard drums, which I FCed. Cool song, very fun.
Alex Chilton - This song fucking rules. The Replacements fucking rule. Now if only they'd give us Bastards of Young, I could die happy.
Alive - One of the best songs to ever be in a music game.
Anyway You Want It - Journey is not my thing, and I was kind of getting bored with the song until the random insane soloing kicked in... what the hell was that.
Chop Suey! - I hate SOAD, and this song was annoying as shit on guitar.
Come Out and Play - I listened to a lot of Offspring early on in HS, so this was pretty cool.
De-Luxe - Cool song, but the guitar track wasn't very fun.
Down with the Sickness - Get the fuck out of my game. What a horrible band
Drain You - A+++, much more fun to play than In Bloom. Nothing against In Bloom, though.
E-Pro - Not too fun to play on guitar, but still a cool song.
Everlong - It's fucking Everlong. Fuck yeah
Eye of the Tiger - Only enjoyment from this song was the first "lol, eye of the tiger is in the game"... After that, I don't really feel like playing it again. It's also too long.
Float On - Guitar track is lame, but the drums are still fun (but easy). Love the song.
Give It All - I don't like Rise Against. This song doesn't do much for me.
Hello There - Short song, wasn't really fun to play.
Hungry Like the Wolf - I fucking hate Duran Duran, but I have to admit it was pretty fun to play on guitar.
I Was Wrong - Simple, but a great song and fun to play.
Let There Be Rock - Not an AC/DC fan, but there's a handful of songs I would've rather played than this. I didn't like the guitar chart at all.
Lump - 'tis cool
Man in the Box - Alice in Chains owns my face
My Own Worst Enemy - Lit? Seriously? Fuck this stupid shit
New Kid in School - I liked that Donnas song from GH1. This one is kind of forgettable.
One Step Closer - Linkin Park is god damn horrible. Fuck this song.
One Way or Another - Blondie, Pretty fun on guitar.
Our Truth - Lacuna Coil is so lame, and their songs are always stupidly easy.
PDA - It's cool to see Interpol here. Great song, but a bit of an arm killer if you're a down strummer.
Pinball Wizard - You can never have enough Who.
Pretend We're Dead - I used to always get this song stuck in my head. Didn't mind, either.
Rebel Girl - Simple but fun.
Round and Round - I hate hair metal. I hated this in Guitar Hero 80's and I hate it now.
Shackler's Revenge - Hey, some dude is singing over a Buckethead track. Tell him to stop.
Shooting Star - Bad company rules. This song is awesome.
So What'cha Want - Beasties are cool, but the song isn't that fun to play.
Spoonman - More Soundgarden, please.
Teen Age Riot - Another arm killer on guitar, but damn is this fun.
Testify - I like some RatM every once in a while, and while this song is pretty decent, I didn't like it on guitar at all.
The Middle - Not much of a Jimmy Eat World fan, but this song was alright.
The Trees - Played this on hard drums and it was fun as hell.
Today - Easy as hell, but who fucking cares... It's the Smashing Pumpkins. Give us all of Siamese Dream, please.
We Got the Beat - Meh
Where'd You Go - Was never a fan of the Bosstones, and I don't really have much of an opinion on this song yet.
White Wedding - Billy Idol, sirs.
You Oughta Know - The censoring in this song makes baby jesus cry. Probably. It still kicks ass, though.

Bonus -
A Jagged Gorgeous Winter - Didn't really like this at all.
Night Lies - Meh
Welcome to the Neighborhood - I hate this song.

Time to eat some lunch.

They added some hair.

It's the exact hair I wanted in Rock Band 1 but they didn't have it.

Alive is my favorite song to play guitar to in this game, of the one's I have seen. Let There Be Rock is my least favorite. I hated the track, and it wasn't fun.

Scores are associated with the band but money definitely is NOT. I wanted to create a few characters to have as a permanent backing band but each of them only had $100, even though they were created under the same XBox account and in the same band.

Hey is there a way to constantly have the same NPCs in your band in World Tour instead of having them randomly assigned?
Yes there is. Before signing your main character into the tour mode, choose Create New. Once you have the character saved, you can go to Band Profile. Add them as backup members (the right side). As written above, you'll have to earn enough money playing as that character in order to buy new outfits. This REALLY SUCKS, but at least you can continue Band World Tour from where you left it, rather than having to start over.

They changed vocal overdrive in solo play. If you turn it on, it keeps draining even if there is nothing to sing. Now you have to be super careful to make sure you activate it right at the tail end of the gold section lest you waste some of the overdrive. It sucks :(

Are there any negatives to unlocking all the songs with that code? That won't disrupt world tour mode/challenges/ achivements, right?
most of the game enhancers disable saving and achievements (though unlike many other games, don't permanently disable achievements). But for a quickplay party this shouldn't be a big deal if this is one of those codes.

It should be noted that they FULLY disable saving. We took a break yesterday and let the kids play with no fail mode on. When we came back, I created a character. After a few songs, we realised that we forgot to turn no fail mode back off and when we did, I lost my character. :(

There also were not any warnings (other than the one when you first set it). So remember to turn it back off!

for the zune users, I just noticed that they have a "Rock Band 2 Collection" playlist on the marketplace that you can play/download (with zune pass). I don't think it has every song, but it has 68 tracks to get you started off I suppose.

Is online vs play exactly the same as RB1?

For normal quickplay games, yes it is pretty much the same (except with setlists which makes it 100 times more awesome)

If we are putting the tour mdoe into the equation then no. Tour mode multiplayer is freaking awesome.

It also seems like you get victories now for when your opponent forfeits. I unlocked the achievement for winning an online battle when someone quit out on me.
