Livin' on a prayer seems so much to fun to play in this game.

I hope there's a Bon Jovi DLC pack soon. Many other songs you can put from them...

I am going to keep it just in case, I think. I didn't really want to spend nearly 100 US dollars on 20 songs though, even if I am retarded usually.

You give DLC (and love) a bad name. Anyway, Livin' On a Prayer is definitely fun. It's the first song I ever sightread FC on guitar.

I agree, I have also been really surprised with all the Greatful dead songs so far I am not a regular of their stuff but all their songs are very fun to play in guitar.
I was very dissapointed in the guitar chart of everlong, which is one of the songs I was most looking forward to, learning to fly was very fun imo in RB1, everlong.. not so much.

I didn't say they charted it wrong... I just didn't enjoy playing them.

edit: I don't claim to be an expert in charts or a top tier player, I just talk about my level of enjoyment.
 
I haven't been in this thread for about half a day so I don't know if this was posted or not but Harmonix's web guy posted on their forums about all the stuff coming to the web for Rock Band 2.

Also, he mentions an approximate price for the "bandmates" action figures you can get custom made. "About 70 bucks" is the quote. Am I crazy enough to buy one? I just might be.

I already had metal reinforcement. It's snaped right at the bottom, where the hinge is, so I can't repair it. And EA's wonderful system in the UK requires you to return the entire Band In A Box to your retailer, who was Play.com for me. I don't know if I can even be bothered doing it a second time.

Did you ever play the GH1 version?
 
I think most of the songs are pretty damn fun to play on guitar. I mostly play the hard songs on hard and the easy songs on expert but that's one thing I've got very few complaints about. Except man Pinball Wizard has come up for me about 30 times even though I have 90% of the DLC.

Haha, yeah. That is a good candidate.

I am a big fan of Bon Jovi. I have most of their albums. Coming up with a top 5 or ten is tough (for me anyway) because your goal is to have people buy the pack. Especially people who are fans of the band like me.

My favorite album from these is These Days, and you can come up with a convincing pack like...

Or make your own. Buy a second-hand bass pedal from a real drum kit, a cheap switch, a suitably-sized jack, and some two-core wire. You should be able to find instructions online somewhere.

Also, I'm predicting Brooks & Dunn Pack 01 and something really good to counter that. I would think HMX would class the first modern country in the game as "oddball stuff hardly anyone would want." But we'll see.
 
ohhh! I can't wait to see which album it is for the next DLC. I'm hoping for any, honestly. they all looked great to me. I just don't want any bad surprises. like linkin park or nickleback. I know harmonix isn't that terrible though.

I've got my solution (hopefully) for RB and potentially GHWT sorted. Picked up a dirt cheap electronic drum kit on eBay (it's a nasty ION kit, but should be good enough for my needs) - £63, and I can go pick it up tomorrow. Then before my pedal dies I'll order one of those MIDI adapters for Rock Band, and use the kit. If the pedal goes on that I can just replace it with a better one. :)

there's been plenty of bitching about the game so far so I don't think you need to set yourself aside like that.

I've been thinking of not even bothering with the game, but that's more of a "I seem to have 1 hour a week for gaming lately" than anything else.

Just to interject, there is that 'Roadie Rocker' pedal that I was having a good time with on Rock Band 1.

I'm not sure if it's the new kit, or if I started hitting it oddly, but it's been VERY particular with my Rock Band 2 set, so I'm going to have to NOT reccomend it.

Also, Rock Band 2's pedal is TOO springy.
