NOT LOOKING FOR MUCH HERE, MUST BE USEFUL TO SOMEONE :-)

I have mailed a mod to see if it is okay to post this but havent had a reply for ages. Hopefully it doesnt upset anyone :-)

Hi all,

I've about to post this on the Game trade thread also....but thought it would be equally at home here.

I'm a UK user that has had Rock Band PS3 since the US release (imported) and its about time I bit the bullet and got ready to change to PAL (no smart comments please, i know PS3 and PAL!) for the hopeful release of Rock Band 3 later this year.

As a result of having the US version I had to make a US account to get my DLC up until now, this DLC obviously wont work with my eventual PAL copy of RB3 and so i need to find a happy permanent home for my US Account and all the DLC.

I have 188 DLC songs plus the RB1 imports tied to that account plus a couple of games, this account is primarily just for RB a list of my DLC can be found here http://dlcquickplay.com/user/funkym00se

these include the full Queen pack, Chilli's megadeth packs ...

Obviously this isn't a straight forward game for game sharing scenario but has anyone got any use for all this DLC? Maybe we can strike up a deal? Obviously I would hand over this account fully to do with what you want.

PM if you're interested. Cheers all.

I'll give you 40 Rupees for it

plz HMX?

More live Priest, huh? The sound quality for the Touch of Evil tracks were great and Halford still has it vocally when he's not trying for the ultra-screechy bits, so I'm not worried at all. Nice to see them bring out more albums again.

Well, at least BBG has a good excuse since Priest has had a long history of incredibly lame drum parts.
But it's not okay for guitarists to be tired of Pearl Jam and Foo for having boring guitar parts on (almost) every song? HOKAY!

It's a little different since BBG isn't doing it every other post.

Moderation is key!

I never seen a guitarist willingly pick a judas priest song. I just assumed they are shit on everything. just the same shitty guitar solo's from painkiller in every song.

ehh SFV has some good guitar tracks and it's one of the better albums for guitar in the game. Painkiller was fun at first but I stopped caring/playing it when I got a decent amount of DLC. The other pack had one good song and two mediocre ones. I like SFV on drums but I'm a scrub @ drums so my opinion doesn't count.

They really could have stopped with Priest after Screaming and I don't think anyone would have complained. Especially since there's so many bands/songs still missing from the setlists/DLC.

BTW: I'm also not a fan of live tracks. Prefer the actual recordings.

Two albums in two weeks is pretty awesome though. I have fun with most of the Priest stuff on guitar and vocals, so this should be a good week.

RB3-logo.jpg

Not so much to see here, but if you care to take a gander at the official Rock Band 3 logo, take a look directly above. GameInformer apparently received this logo when they also received an invite to a special May 20 early unveiling… apparently mine got lost in the mail! Oh well, I’ll be taking a look at it during E3, and I’ll report back all the goodies that I can to you guys with an up front (and hopefully hands on) viewing!

According to GameInformer, the invite to the special event promises that RB 3 is “a game that will once again change the way people look at music video games.” Innovation, you say? Yes, please!

GameInformer also comments that “word on the street is that Harmonix is moving in a more realistic direction, which could add a new layer of challenge, fun, and education or it could turn into a boring, overcomplicated music lesson that you see in plenty of PC software.”

Looks like I need to go renew my Game Informer subscription pronto!

I'm guessing that Game Informer will have the first scoop and they'll do a cover story for their next issue or at least the one that comes out right before/around E3.

thats a good offer....if my IONs worked on my PS3 I would take this. =(

You have Ions for 360 Pedro? not possible to use on both? oh well.

Can anyone make him an offer or know someone that may want 188+ songs cheap to get them started?

He doesn't expect to get too much. Just a token gesture otherwise it will be going to waste, I can vouch for him he's a rlf of mine. He's willing to accept cash or merchandise!

I wonder if they'll reveal the entire setlist right off the bat again. That was a pretty shrewd move on their part with RB2.
Depends on whether or not the entire setlist is leaked two weeks after announcement.

edit:

:lol Natal

To be fair, there were two different setlists that leaked out prior to the full announcement. It just so happened that both (eventually) came true.

Damn... Is it possible for my downstairs neighbor to be more of a passive-aggressive little pussy? He called the property management about a water leak from my place this morning. But did he call me... even though he has my number? Nope. Meanwhile, the company waited hours to call me. Nice.
He probably has a problem with vibration from my RB drumming but is afraid to say anything. Fuck him. I'm tripling my play time.
EDIT: I guess he was afraid to talk to them, too. He noticed it last night.

I don't think we will get any information on that date. That's too close to Green Day, why would they kill any hype for it with RB3 stuff? That stuff will be secret as hell.

Theres a pre e3 party/event on May 20th... I'm sure we will have details before E3.

I know that silly!... just saying.

okay fine maybe you're right -

woooo 5:30!!! I'm going home! 4 day weekend!!

Interesting, back to back weeks of getting albums by bands with large amounts of DLC already available. It definitely seems like HMX might have licensed several albums from some of the artists we currently have available.
