might come with 20 free songs again. that would be cool.

Someone had suggested in the annoucement thread that they could solve any potential issues they could have with a RB2 export by including the code for it in with copies of RB3. I smell a Gamestop offer in the making!

Seriously I read IGN's Motorstorm: Apocalypse (omg) preview and there were like over a dozen grammatical and spelling errors. I don't think they even proofread.

Or just do it through their music store like RB1.

I probably won't even export RB2. I haven't played an on-disc song in at least a year besides the one time Dave chose Aqualung online.

I will at some point, but I am sick to death of those songs to rush to do it.

Doubtful, but would be completely awesome.

They could just work with some RBN authors and easily get the 20 freebies out of that. Wouldn't even need to do extra work, just give some teams advance copies.

I think that the 20 free songs were originally supposed to be on the disc, but HMX didn't complete them in time. They've had two years so I doubt it will happen again.

Someone on another forum said that some random HMX'er (that I don't have on my twitter) said that "They're glad they're saving the good stuff for E3".

If this is the bad stuff, then next week is gonna be orgasmic!

I don't either. It just seemed like an extra incentive to get people to buy the game new.

(Regarding the 20 free DLC pack)

Maybe if you like Guns N Roses :/

@LucidDelusions @Gokuroro When you see it, you'll shit bricks. I did, at least. Can't wait for next week! #RockBand3

I'm glad we saved the big stuff for #e3. Just sayin'. #RockBand3
Rock and Roll.

You guys maybe think they're sitting on Led Zep or something? It would make the hefty NDA amount make a whole lot more sense. The whole actually teaching kids how to play guitar may have swayed Jimmy Page into signing off on it.

They're definitely saving their big artists for E3 that's for sure. Who those artists will be are still a mystery. Your scenario would make sense. Hopefully you're right.

Drums might be. If you author properly, the game would know whether a hit is a "pad" (snare/tom) or cymbal (hi-hat/crash/ride) based on what you animated it to be. So it could figure out Pro mode from that.
Yeah, this is what I was saying when I was nerd-raging about how HMX dropped the ball on drums when RB2 came out.
It's also a major relief to me that HMX stuck with four lanes and added contextual cues. It looks like they did Pro drums the way I described except that I would have had the basic shape of the gems be the same, just with extra little bits poking out of the middle.

and Paradise City is dead to me after playing Burnout Paradise. UGH I never wanna hear it again. Good GnR song like Civil War instead please.
A good song is a good song. Good thing I never played Burnout Paradise, I guess?

I'm too busy with GD to play Deftones right now.
Gawd... I've been listening to the Alt. Hard Rock station on the Slacker Radio Droid app a lot the last couple days, and the Deftones are the only band besides Linkin Park that I've used "Ban Band" on.

I love Paradise City. Whenever I play Paradise, I still let the full track play as the first song and then I switch to my custom soundtrack. Those guitar solos, man. So good.

Only uncool people trying to be cool try that argument.

I'd insta-nut in my pants if they announced LZ for RB3.

I'm sure I missed them but, any RBGD impreshes? It wasn't on my radar, but the RB3 announce has me craving any and all Rock Band Action.

The only question you really need to ask is: Do you like Green Day in some capacity?

I've played pretty much everything but the 21st Century Breakdown album on drums and it's fantastic. Not sure what your main instrument is, but if you like the drums, these songs are a blast.

Also, what birdman said. If you like Green Day you'll probably enjoy the game.

They're pretty okay. I like Dookie a lot. Question, does Plus include all the DLC already released for plain old RB2?

You should like it.

Yeah, Plus comes with a voucher to DL all the Green Day songs (from 21st Century Breakdown) in the RB Store right now.

Yeah. I think it gives you a code to download the 6 tracks that were already released and a code for a free export.

It comes with an export key for 2 things.

A) All the songs on the GDRB disc
B) All 6 songs as RB DLC

Plus gets you the entire Green Day collection.
