BS. They are just now in damage control mode and desperately trying to minimize their involvement in all of these projects they've worked on.

They heavily influence character designs, ensuring female characters have decreased sex appeal and how much female representation is included in the game, making sure the female characters have just as much (or more) play/screen time as male characters. They aren't getting paid millions just to write little npc/log quips. 🙄
 
After taking a massive 💩 on Kevin Conroy's legacy? WB wants to lose even more money. I don't think they're as good as they use to be, but who knows. Maybe it'll be good this time.

Rocksteady are ostensibly not the Rocksteady that made the Arkham games we know and love. They'd now a captured woke shell of their former selves.

Any new Batman game will probably depict him as a fascist, make him a bumbling idiot who gets overshadowed by a female character, or make him a non-binary black lesbian they/them.

Or possibly a couple YouTubers just spun everyone up and massively oversrtated the relevance and role of this company and made a lot of money doing it?

Unless these companies are altering their credits to steal credit from SBI companies we know who did the writing. This isn't a mystery, man, Asmongold just lied for money.

Sure, the batmobile overstayed its welcome in Knight but let's not act like Asylum and City aren't two of the best superhero games ever made to this day.
 
Would be cool I guess but I lack the imagination of how to shake up the formula of the arkhams games to bring the series further.

They nailed pretty much every aspect as ign would say to feel like batman when playing the games. Maybe add Bruce Wayne stuff that could be something new.

I think the series could benefit from a different director. Mainly because I think he was more to blame for Suicide Squad than most think he does.
 
A Batman' s game without the original Rocksteady team developer, exclusive for Playstation? Sounds like a Bad decision of Hermen Hulst so maybe is true.
 
How much of Rocksteady is even Rocksteady at this point? I have virtually no reason to be excited about what might be a rumor.

There's an episode of Batman: The Animated Series that always stood out to me, even as a kid, called "The Forgotten". Bruce Wayne investigates the disappearance of homeless people from Gotham and ends up rescuing them. The same episode also opens up with Bruce volunteering at a soup kitchen.

Now, I don't expect the engagement-brained shithead running PC Gamer's Twitter account to actually take that particular episode of a cartoon into account. But the narrative of "Batman runs around and beats up homeless people and/or the mentally ill 🤓" is fucking stupid and played out.

We don't any need youtuber's story, just check out the game itself. SSKJL deviates 180 degrees from the previous Batman games in tone, writing, and everything else, so the SBI influence is pretty obvious.

And, if SBI is irrelevant, why hire them in the first place? I mean, those aren't specialists in any field. Rocksteady is an experienced studio, why do they need the "assistance" or advice of outsiders? The concept is foreign to me. A pro writer doesn't need someone else to meddle with his story, unless they are providing technical knowledge.

If I were Sony I wouldnt invest a cent in the current Rocksteady. It's wasted money, a subject in which Hermen is becoming a true expert.
 
Let's hope it's a single player, non-GaaS game. And that they aren't "adviced", "consulted" or "assisted" by people who could turn this almost in a Ru Paul's Drag Race game or that humilliate the popular characters of the IP.

They should be respectful to the Batman IP and its fans.

The only way it could possibly succeed is if its a remake of Arkam Asylum. Or City.

And they change nothing about the game but the graphics.

Those are already great games. Even if rocksteady devs are shit now. It would still be a great game.

To help finish the game on time without crunch. There are tons and tons of these kinds of support studios around.

SBI does do "sensitivity readings" on some games as one of their services, but they didn't do that on Suicide Squad. Most of the time they are just doing very boring shit like writing the text on all the notes you pick up or lore entries in the codex or whatever because that is the kind of grunt work companies need support studios to help with.

While it sounds promising, we have no choice nowadays to wait until we see the game and then judge it, too many disappointing games released with overhype attached now that don't deliver.

We all know remakes (edit: not necessarily remasters) are never truly remakes with graphics and QOL improvements. I am pressed to think of one case where that's what they did.

Always some executive in the studio has to fuck with the storytelling ingredients cause... ego. Put their own mark on it or modernize the game's story or some shit. It's always ego for these decisions. I wish it was just blind greed cause they would just remake it and stick with a proven successful formula with the least amount of effort. As soulless and cynical as that sounds, it isn't legacy ruining.

Im talking about something like the upcoming Until Dawn remake. The graphics were remade in unreal engine 5. It looks alot better. The story remains in tact. And it will play very similar to the original.

Dead Space remake did this as well. While keeping faithful to the original game. The graphics were redone but the main game largely remains the same.

Those 2 games are what I'm looking for in a Asylum remake in UE5.
 
Please make Gotham more distinct if you're making an Arkham Knight-esque open world again., I was so immensely disappointed in the design as I had to remind myself that I was running around in Gotham and not generic city #3.

Now with all of those examples listed, how the fuck could anyone have faith in a release by Warner Bros for animation, live-action, or video games, based off that track record?
