ROG Ally….did it bomba?

except for games which require heavy mouse movement such as.... the entirety of the RTS, sim, FPS genres. Which are the defining genres of the PC gaming space and probably one of the major reasons why you'd pick a handheld like this up over A retroid or an AYN Odin.

I can't imagine the torture that would be moving around tiny units with a trackpad. I'd rather poke my eyes out with a spoon.
99% of users will use the controllers for FPS, not the trackpads. And no, people aren't flocking the steam deck to play Civilization, red alert, it's to play Elden Ring, Forza, God of War, Doom, emulators, etc.
The Odin won't play AAA PC games, so that's not even in the picture.

I think being available at stores people can just walk in and pick up is going to give it an advantage.. seems like an awesome machine and they got the pricing about as good as I could expect them to get it.. but I got my steamed deck and I'm thrilled with it still and I have no desire to switch.

It's release day still available on Best Buy and nobody is talking about it here today.
What is going on???

We won't know until sales come out. Steam Deck sales started out bad and grew later. Problem is Asus likes to hide their numbers so unless we hear from a distributor about shipments we won't know.
