Doesn't Cyberpunk 2077 look and run better on the Switch 2?
If you dont take the time to mod in FSR 4. You know things like mods, which is one of the benefits of PC gaming.
Doesn't Cyberpunk 2077 look and run better on the Switch 2?
Yes, but here you're being offered - $1,000 for a mobile PC running on Windows 11 just to play a five-year-old game. It's too good an offer to refuse.Doesn't Cyberpunk 2077 look and run better on the Switch 2?
How do you go from Nov to Dec 12 to SHIPPING BY 2 DAYS?
I think it's simpler. They had to involveManufactured scarcity
So does this wipe the floor with the S2? I would hope for twice the price it would. I assume it does DLSS or whatever and that?
Personally I will wait for the Steam Deck 2 whenever that may come
damn, kind of a shame. I want to see some true next gen handhelds. Probably why Valve is waiting. It doesn't "wipe the floor" with anything. The difference between low end and high end in handheld PCs really isn't that large. This is all AMD tech so no DLSS. FSR3 and XeSS depending on the game.
I will express my opinion, but it seems to me that all this is not the biggest problem of this device. It doesn't "wipe the floor" with anything. The difference between low end and high end in handheld PCs really isn't that large. This is all AMD tech so no DLSS. FSR3 and XeSS depending on the game.

We just need to break away from brands and focus on general terms. The beauty of portable consoles is that we can play games on the go, but before we can do that, developers have to take devkits, create code for the console, optimize it, and make sure everything works as intended. So, when you go to a store and buy a game for any portable console, you can be confident that the game will launch and work as the developer intended. You don't need to go into settings, you don't need to fix anything, configure anything, or adjust the game. You just insert the cartridge and start playing, the developers have done all the work for you. (I understand that this is in an ideal world, and there are problems with optimization, etc. but that's not what I'm talking about.)
In this particular case, you're simply buying a mobile PC running Windows 11, with all the ensuing consequences. This means you'll need to access game settings, tweak them for optimal performance, possibly install patches or fixes, etc. Naturally, no developers have dev kits for this machine, and no one will sit and optimize games for it. All the work involved in running games falls entirely on the end user. This is still getting worse, due to the laziness of developers, the crookedness of PC ports, and the constant increase in system requirements on PC.
That is, at the moment, without the support of Microsoft and game developers, it is just a portable PC running Windows 11 and nothing more, oh yeah, I forgot, at a price of 1000$
And it seems to me that under the circumstances, this is not the best proposal.
Looks more than 0 to me.
But does the Switch 2 have Gamepass?
Lack of demand. How do you go from Nov to Dec 12 to SHIPPING BY 2 DAYS?
If I was to get one it would end up running Linux, I'm not even sure I'd bother booting it in Windows just to get harassed to get all these extra services that I don't want. This is bloody good

Runs Doom TDA at 40fps apparently with mid to low settings (heard it in one review), I don't know the size of the floor you would wipe with thatSo does this wipe the floor with the S2? I would hope for twice the price it would. I assume it does DLSS or whatever and that?

I will admit it's a pain with the windows updates, before you can play the bloody thingIf I was to get one it would end up running Linux, I'm not even sure I'd bother booting it in Windows just to get harassed to get all these extra services that I don't want.
What do you mean by running and looking better?Doesn't Cyberpunk 2077 look and run better on the Switch 2?
I played Zelda totk completely in handheld mode. There's a reason I don't know that I can't play it on the big screen.I will never understand people wanting to play handheld. I respect it but I dont understand it
Nothing can beat playing a videogame on a big screen with the best quality
Hell yeah! Enjoy it!Just got home from work and mine was waiting when I came in. Its a slick little unit. Got a pretty big PC catalog that im excited to finally get to. Will be nice not having to load up a console or anything when going out of town for work.
I predict - sometime in the far off future - that there will be games released on consoles that are barely optimized and run and look like shit. They might start having you choose between higher frame rate or higher resolution and improved graphics. Don't be surprised if eventually console games start getting patches after launch as well and there is always the chance, albeit very slim, that one day after inseeting your game cart nothing happens until you download the actual game. I know it's hard to believe but one day the disk or cart for your console game might not have the game on it.I will express my opinion, but it seems to me that all this is not the biggest problem of this device.

That must depend on the mode because another reviewer said he ran TDA on ultra 60FPS 1080pRuns Doom TDA at 40fps apparently with mid to low settings (heard it in one review), I don't know the size of the floor you would wipe with that
I hear you. And to read people claiming they now prefer to play everything on these compromised devices with tiny screens even when they have a large TV and decent audio system in the same room is frankly bizarre to me.7" screen is a no go, especially after using the LEgion Go, which I got for $500 and has similar performance to this.
I suppose there are enough people with money who can justify $1000+ on these things.
Approaching desktop level pricing at a mere fraction of the performance, portable or not.Yes, but here you're being offered - $1,000 for a mobile PC running on Windows 11 just to play a five-year-old game. It's too good an offer to refuse.
Think of it as fat vs thin people's resolve.I will never understand people wanting to play handheld. I respect it but I dont understand it

Conditioning. Why is this thing branded with Xbox? Does it play Xbox games, like fully backwards compatible?

Where the hell is the 2nd steam deck iteration? A handheld pc that I can jack into my tv like the switch sounds ideal to me, but the market has a shitload of these now.
$1000 is too steep for me, I basically want it to play lil indies like Fear and Hunger that never get console releases.
Cool, that's not confusing at all...Conditioning.
It doesn't play Xbox console games but it does play Xbox PC games.
