I think all the banned sources were undone. Can we stop posting El Analist the Bits stuff?
His comparisons have been shown to be BS multiple times, and he often has false information.
Just recently he was saying Silent Hill F runs at 320p to 720p on base Ps5 in performance mode, turns out it's actually one of the few UE5 that actually runs at 1080p in performance mode.
He used to be a banned source on GAF for a reason. Don't really know why the ban was lifted.
Crazy how well the Switch 2 holds it own in those graphical comparisons, especially in games like Cyberpunk. It even looks better in some cases. And at half the price.
DLSS is truly some wizard shit.
Cyberpunk at 80fps is preferable.
That said, wish this device was capable of light weight FSR4 or something.
I don't think it's the WiFi chip, even with Ethernet the downloads seem capped by something else on Switch and Switch 2.Man, the wifi6 chip in the NS2 must be completely shit - something which some of us have been saying since day1, 4 minutes of difference on the same network for 2GB ?
True. He is not credible. Can we stop posting El Analist the Bits stuff?

This is most impressive for the Switch 2 all things considered however, I wonder if Switch 2 doesn't have a demanding enough game to really show off where is sits in comparison.
Great time to be an untethered gamer.
No. It's super easy. It takes a few minutes per game if that. Games that support FSR4, like cyberpunk, it's a drag and drop operation. The difference FSR4 makes on handheld is astounding. The clarity difference between FSR2/3 and 4 cannot be understated. Is it hard to mod in FSR 4 in windows? Would like to see how much of a hit the Xbox ROG Ally X would take vs using this FSR 3 slop.
Most likely to play their PC and Steam gaming library when they're not at their PC. Most people opt for a Steam Deck, though. With those results, who would ever go for the Ally X? A Switch 2 is half the price with a free game in a bundle, or even less than half the price without a game.
You just explained the one scenario where the Ally X could have offered something potentially interesting, but the Steam Deck offers infinitely better value proposition than the Ally X.Most likely to play their PC and Steam gaming library when they're not at their PC. I picked up a Switch 2 mostly for Nintendo exclusives, and I know I'm not the only one.
PC + Nintendo or Sony + Nintendo seem to be pretty common combos for a lot of gamers.
For sure, I don't disagree with you there! You just explained the one scenario where the Ally X could have offered something potentially interesting, but the Steam Deck offers infinitely better value proposition than the Ally X.
No doubt the Switch 2 is a beast but there is no scenario in which it will outperform a machine with twice the cost.Switch 2 has many demanding games. Hogwarts Legacy is quite demanding and Star Wars Outlaws is one of the most demanding games on the market. Not to mention UE5 titles like Cronos: The New Dawn.
It was never going to, but the bigger question is paying beyond premium for more frames really worth it? Or is it even worth buying over other options like the $450 rog ally x1e? Or steam deck?No doubt the Switch 2 is a beast but there is no scenario in which it will outperform a machine with twice the cost.
I hear you on Outlaws, that game is a monster and is a fine showcase for what the Switch 2 can output but moving forward I wonder if the gap will be more pronounced. ( I mean for almost double the price it should be more pronounced )
Doom TDA just got a ROG Ally X preset added. That's probably because the Video Games are specifically developed for the Nintendo Switch 2 Hardware Capabilities.
While the XBox Ally X is just a PC in the End and therefore just gets the PC Version which is not optimised for a PC Handheld.
Doom TDA and few others like Baldur's Gate 3 are getting Handheld support/preset for the Ally X. MS is also adding a Handheld Verified tag to store pages.A real console with dedicated software vs a PC with no dedicated software
Story of a lifetime
Amazing difference. From such a low resolution. FSR5 will be even better by next gen.No. It's super easy. It takes a few minutes per game if that. I don't have CP2077 installed right now but here's BG3 on my legion go. 1920x1200. Medium/high settings. 55-60fps. Both images are being slowly panned so FSR doesn't have a chance to resolve a static image. This is how the game appears in motion.
FSR2.2 Ultra Performance, internal resolution 640x400.

Good upscaling on a handheld is a massive, massive gamechanger.
This device is also for Xbox, Gamepass, Play Anywhere, Cloud Gaming users. Most likely to play their PC and Steam gaming library when they're not at their PC. Most people opt for a Steam Deck, though.

Star Wars Outlaws has RTGI and Ray Traced reflections while holding it's 1080p/30fps rarely dropping and even got several graphic patches to remove a lot of pop in, all of that runs in handheld mode as well. This is most impressive for the Switch 2 all things considered however, I wonder if Switch 2 doesn't have a demanding enough game to really show off where is sits in comparison.

Maybe also for the PS6.Good upscaling on a handheld is a massive, massive gamechanger.
Yeah and the also cut off the poly count details compared the original never forget it.Star Wars Outlaws has RTGI and Ray Traced reflections while holding it's 1080p/30fps rarely dropping and even got several graphic patches to remove a lot of pop in, all of that runs in handheld mode as well.
According to DF, RE9 also has RTGI and that game hangs around 60fps most the time.
Only difference is 500$Switch 2 is a beast!
Rog Ally is a beast too!
Noice

Switch 2 battery life is 2-3 hours????
I have not the foggiest idea of its worth it to the PC gamer. I'm sure there are some folks out there that will love this and tinker around with it, add an eGPU and a dock and get the very most out of it. Probably come close (enough) to a mid level desktop for the same price and still have the ability to take it with you. I'm sure there is someone looking for that.It was never going to, but the bigger question is paying beyond premium for more frames really worth it? Or is it even worth buying over other options like the $450 rog ally x1e? Or steam deck?

I'm more and more impressed with the Switch 2 price/performance ratio as time goes on.
All said the battery life on switch 2 is outraging. I like the hardware but they could put a replaceable battery at least. The thing that I have to wait to rebuy the new future sku to have a decent battery life irritate me.
Switch 2 is a beast!
