The same thing might happen on the women's side after Serena retires.

Yep, unless Taylor Townsend loses her gut, or Sloane Stephens changes her horrible court attitude. Or perhaps if Madison Keys works on her consistency and loses her ball basher game plan. I don't see either of these things happening though. The Williams sisters need to retire and get pregnant as quickly as possible to give the US some more tennis talent.

Well hypes are choking left and right on the big stage - Dimitrov flames out to Servebotovic. Straight sets.

Women's Bottom half opened up. Players there have a great opportunity with Li out and not facing Serena\Maria\Aga until a potential final.

must be a nightmare to play karlovic to someone who is such a terrible returner.

i suppose even a good returner doesn't like it that much.

I think Bencic and Tomljanovic and Eugenie with her Nike back doping regimen will be successful. I have no hope for Tomic, Dimitrov, Raonic, Janowicz or whoever to ever win a slams.

when you're lucky enough to be part of a generation this dreadful, one of them is bound to sneak through the cracks eventually and win a slam. once the real tennis players have declined and retired, that is.

It might be a kiss of death, but Murray looks good. He's got to the quarter finals in his last 11 slams and with Wawrinka out of his quarter of the draw, it looks promising. A potential match up with Gasquest in the 4th round should be a good test. The biggest seed he can face in the quarters is Fognini who he lost in the Davis cup but he's beatable.

murray has been strange this clay season. often plays a great first set and then vanishes. let's see if he does it again.

Wow I like this Madison Keys. Sexy with as much power as Shaparova but without any need to screatch like an idiot.

I like her service motion too, rare to see the platform stance in the women's game.

Crazy to see Wozniacki get rolled in the 3rd set. Wickmayer played really well

She won't admit to it, but we all know Rory is still weighing on her mind. The abrupt call-off to the wedding took a major emotional toll on her. Rory won the European championship last weekend so he's not bothered at all.

Thiem handled Mathieu in straight sets. Don't think he has a prayer vs Rafa but I'd like to see if this is the future of tennis.

Not surprised Error Na went home early she was awful here last year and has had some random loses and almost-loses this year like against Errani and Safarova.

Comparing the sexyness of Sharapova and Keys is certainly... Something I would never expect to read. Lol to each its own I guess.

The two pretties are battling it out right now :
Eugenie Bouchard just took over the second set after losing the first to Goerges !

Youzhny and Gulbis getting trashed.

Gulbis? I think you mean Paire. Gulbis is routining Bagnis.

Gulbis has really been in form lately. Possible Gulbis-Federer in the fourth round might be interesting.

And Venus is tanking so she doesn't have to play Serena.

Venus being routined by this Schmiedlova girl, or whatever she is called. lol Her game has fallen so much. Not that I didnt expect it to happen eventually considering her illness and everything, but still.

Such a, ahem, pretty match that was.

So glad Genie won. Keep going!

You misread. I said Keys was sexy but in the next part of the sentence I compared Keys' power with Shaparova.
