Just a thought: if all it takes to destroy the machine that destroys the sun is a single missile, doesn't it seem like an overreaction by the primes to kill themselves to make a tomb that contains the Matrix of Leadership?

Of everything that Michael Bay lacks, a sense of proportion is perhaps most significantly missing.

Finally had a chance to see this. Wife and I both enjoyed it. No, not the best movie we've ever seen, but there's some serious overreaction in the reviews for this to be at ~20% on RT.

Loved Optimus just discarding Jetfire parts when he was done with them. Cold.

Why did you have to remind me...

I saw "The Island" at a theatre for free and I felt like I wanted my money back...Yeah I know, much like the film, it doesn't make sense.

I saw transformers a week after it came out in IMAX. me and my friends thought the movie was good. Its wat i expect from transformers, a lot of action i dono y all those people who complained said its so bad, i know the story isnt mind blasting but still it was a good movie. And yea i am a transformers fan :P

Alright I finally went to see this, and went in expecting the worse because of GAF. I got the complete opposite. It's by no means a great film, but POS? Really? And you all had trouble understanding the story? :lol :lol You all expected a movie that's based on a toy series from the '80s about alien robots that transform into cars to have a deep story? :lol :lol :lol

7/10.

:lol :lol :lol I can't wait to see this hit 400 million and hear all the bitter tears. BTW, it's still well on track to hit it without a problem.

Love how the goalposts shifted. It's a huge success, far more successful than the first, and it's well liked. It's also guaranteed to be the biggest movie of the year. Keep hating, it'll keep making money, and the sequel will end up making more.

I expected a decent, logical (within the fictional universe of transforming alien robots) plot with interesting, dynamic characters, yes. That's not a lot to ask for.

I was a skeptic about the first one and ended up enjoying it and mostly defending it. I was looking forward to this one. It's a POS. I was able to follow it, but it's worse in every possible way. Even the CG sucks this time. I was visiting my mom for the weekend when I saw it. She liked the first one and hated this one, too.

This movie was looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong.

It certainly felt it. For comparison, I watched Harry Potter HBP last week, and they are both the same length. But HBP didn't even feel long.

But yes. This movie was truly an abortion of a movie. However, I fairly much predicted it, and I will talk about things that I actually went to see the movie for.

The special effects were mind boggling. ILM have out done themselves yet again, the way they manage to churn out all those amazing effects and sequences into what was essentially a big bowl of vomit.

ILM are kings.

Say what you will about the Movie, but to deny the CGI is just laughable. Did you even see the movie? It's pretty much the Crysis of the Movie industry.

The textures and shaders on the new models are inferior, especially on Devastator and the twins. Also, the quality of the lighting is inconsistent. It just looks obviously rushed, like the 2009 equivalent of The Mummy Returns.

I was watching this movie and I didn't even know what the hell was going on.

Sam: "NONONONONONONO!!!!...OPTIMUUUUUS!"

That's about the only thing I remember.

Alot of Transformers hate in here. I saw it with few buddies the weekend it came out and I thought it was a decent mindless movie. We had a good time and the crowd seemed into it.

While TF2 was nothing to write home about, it wasn't the worst movie of the year either. Especially since crap like Land of the Lost, Year One, and the lastest Harry Potter flick all came out this summer.

Even though it's a very looooooooooong movie, It was pretty forgettable, I forgot most of it by now.

The most Memorable things were.
1: Scene with Naruto Poster
2: US Has a giant Railgun
3: Fallen has AntiGravity Powers
4: Robots Can Teleport, SpaceBridge?
5: Robot Heaven

Thats honestly all that I remember

Late to this party but these are my exact thoughts as I felt this was way better than the first. The human parts were actually pretty good and the action was better than the first one. Only parts I didn't like was Devastator being worthless and Megatron being The Fallen's bitch. Other than that I had a great time.

Crossed 371 today. 3. TRANSFORMERS 1,770,000 459 n/a 371,091,117

375/380 will happen this weekend. 390 likely next. And people didn't think this was a 400 lock. :lol :lol

There are a ton worse movies this summer, but in no way shape or form was it better than Harry Potter.

TF2 isn't great by any strech. Its kind of a mixed bag. It did some things better than the first (more decepticons, more robot/human interaction etc) and some things worse (not enough autobots etc).

In the end, I thought it was decent and not meltdown inducing bad.

As far as Harry Potter goes, it really isn't my cup of tea so I'm not a fan of any of the movies. So I guess my opinion is a little biased on that point.

Well good. Don't call it crap then.

Citizen Kane isn't my cup of tea either.

I found it much more entertaining than the first one and it seems that it does almost everything better than the first one. Certainly better than last Terminator and not that boring.

What a comparison of Harry Potter to Transformers 2!? Sure maybe not in CGI...but HP excelled in a whole different plane. HP will definitely outsale T2

Really? Care to name a few? Ive seen (in roughly chronological order) Star Trek, Angels & Demons, Terminator, Drag Me To Hell, The Hangover, Up, Transformers, Public Enemies, Bruno and Harry Potter, and TF2 isn easily the worst of those.

Exactly. People who go buububuububu there are worse movies (land of the lost/year one/etc) when we claim its the worst movie we've seen this summer or year but I (and obviously you) have avoided those. I've seen 18 movies so far in 2009 and Transformers is the worst of those, no question.

I was at a party the other week, having discussions about movies and what not.
So we talked about how TF2 sucked and TF1 was so much better, one guy did'nt see the second one and couldn't believe that this one turned out so much worse
So we told him about
Devastators balls hanging out
And all he could say was DAMN YOU MICHEAL BAY!! :lol :lol

So yeah, I haven't really posted my thoughts on this one. Figure I might as well. I still say Transformers 1 is the most underrated film on GAF. And that the robot design blow away, all the other incarnations of Transformers.

Otherwise, this was a mess. A complete mess of awful ideas and botched execution. I suddently get all the Michael Bay hate.
