The only time I can recall the Rumble not being the main event was in 2006(I think), where they had a Kurt Angle WHC defense in the main event because it ended with Undertaker collapsing the ring with his MAGIC.

It wasn't the last match last year, but I forgive you for forgetting the entire PPV!

They did it last year with Punk vs Rock too. But it seems WWE did announce the Rumble will be the main event this year, as it always should be.

Oh god, I forgot how angry that show made me. How do you beat the longest reigning champion in decades with THE PEOPLES ELBOW?!?!?!

Yes, Rock winning was the correct move for what they were doing, but hell, I would have been less angry if he won tapping him out with a side headlock than I was at a fucking standing elbow drop pinning Punk.

last year's results because it's funny and depressing

Well at least I know I didn't miss much by not watching the 2013 rumble.

Rhodes Brothers can't possibly be this hot and then drop belts on a preshow to the New Age Outlaws. We're not talking Wade Barrett vs Miz here. Cody & Goldust retain

You raise a good point there. Besides we need our token PPV rematch the day after Raw anyway. Rhodes will probably lose it before Mania though.

What about Jinder Mahal with the coveted #27 spot last year.

No chance Ryback is in the final four this year, talk about a fall from grace.

Bo Dallas lasted 21 minutes and 42 seconds last year

I've always wondered how scripted matches like the RR are. Like, do they plan whose going to put who out each time, or do they have a handful of spots decided and then ad lib the rest?

Does Bo Dallas know he's eating a superman punch from Roman Reigns sending him over the ropes, or does he know he's supposed to last 7 minutes-ish and he just finds someone around that time or what?

Just wondering how easy it is to control things like most eliminated and longest lasting records are.

I always thought the refs outside the ring work a good portion of the match and feed information to the wrestlers. This is just how I imagine it working, no idea if it really does work that way.

I hoping there's
gon
na be a rumble if Brock anf Show don't destroy the ring
!!

Sunny you forget one match

DM vs RBH!!!

G, don't pull a Macho King and not come out when it's your turn

I'm pretty sure if I asked people outside the arena, they would WANT to see Cena vs. Orton. It's only chick-punchers like Aiii who think that there are more marks than normal fans.

Make of this what you will, but they kind of had to give it to Cena last year, prior 2 years of Sheamus and ADR were awful choices.

2006 Rey Mysterio
2007 The Undertaker
2008 John Cena

2013 John Cena

I'll give you ADR. Sheamus being bad is on the booking. They tried making him another superface ala Cena and wound up with a racist five year old brat in a man's body. If they'd written a competent series of stories around him (and not put him in a six month directionless feud with ADR or The Abomination at WM 28), he really could have wowed the audience.

Have they changed the card yet, or is Cesaro really not going to be in the Rumble? If that's the case, then it's disappointing as hell.

2013 John Cena

Justing by that list, Cena wins again giving him #3 to tie Stone Cold's record.

Del Rio would have worked if they had given him the win at Wrestlemania. Then they could have built Christian going against the man who put his best friend into retirement. It practically writes itself.

Sheamus could have worked too. People wanted to see him beat the crap out of Bryan in a great match, but then we had 18 seconds and the WM crowd turned on him. Sure they had a great match at Extreme Rules, but it was way too late for Sheamus. Poor fella.

Anyway prediction time!

The Rhodes Bros. def. the NAO
Bryan def. Wyatt
Lesnar def. Show
Orton def. Cena or something idgaf

And finally, The Royal Rumble. (stealing Aiii's format here)

Person that lasts the longest in the match: I think Roman Reigns is going to be it. He'll definitely last longer than anyone in the shield, I know for a fact. Bryan would be great to see just to hear the crowd "YES" for an hour straight, but I think he's going to be the last one in. I imagine some shenanigans will happen after his match with Wyatt which will make people wonder whether or not he'll be in.

Person that eliminates the most people: Again, Reigns. Bryan has to win it, but the rumble will be Reign's time to shine and will no doubt be his first big push in to a solo career. You can be sure Rolins and Ambrose are going to be among those eliminated by him.

Surprise Entries in this years Rumble:
Bryan is going to be one. Like I said, I expect something to happen after his match to make people doubt he'll be in it just to make people cheer him even more to win.
I expect to see some legends in it too. Jake Roberts would be great to see. Sheamus might make a come back too. Sting would be great to see just so we can see Sting in a WWE ring.

Most likely winning the Rumble: In an ideal world, the next few months will be Bryan vs the Authority leading up to a Bryan vs Orton match where we FINALLY see Bryan pin Orton clean for the title.
But this is WWE. Regardless, I say Bryan will win and his Mania match will be great. I can't say the road to wrestlemania will be a fun one though.

Final Four:
Bryan, Batista, Reigns, Wyatt. A bit of a stretch, but I can see these four in it. Basically, Batista gets eliminated by Reigns, Bray eliminating Reigns by help of the Wyatt family, and Bryan eliminating Wyatt last for the big babyface comeback and win.

Alright muppets.

Person that lasts the longest in the match: Not gonna be Rammin Rons. Going with Punk. As #1 that's a boon, and he'll huff and puff and stick around, but he ain't winnin.

Person that eliminates the most people: I think Luke Harper has a shot.

Surprise Entries in this years Rumble:
If we count Bryan, it's Bryan. Also expecting Jake and Kevin Nash. Unfortunately. MAYBE DDP.

Most likely winning the Rumble: It's Batista, baby.

Final Four:
Batista, Punk, Ambrose (surprise!) and Bryan.

Person that lasts the longest in the match: Punk. No douth. Bet he gets to the final 5 and is elimated in shady circumstances to build to his match with Mr H.

Person that eliminates the most people: Roman Reigns.

Surprise Entries in this years Rumble:
Fuck it. AJ Styles.

Most likely winning the Rumble: Batista.

Final Four: Batista, Bryan, Cena, Reigns.

SO STOKED! LETS DO THIS THANG

Person that lasts the longest in the match: Punk for sure.

Person that eliminates the most people: I think Cody Rhodes might pull a Money in the Bank 2013 2.0 on Sunday, maybe with Goldust they will both clear house? I would love to see The Real Americans do something similar. [It will most likely be Roman Reigns tho]

Surprise Entries in this years Rumble: The Dazzler, Kane, Jericho, Sheamus, Scott Hall, and maybe HBK.
The Rock? ;_;

Most likely winning the Rumble: I honestly have no clue. I'm going to say Bryan cause that's what I've been saying since September.

Final Four: Punk, Bryan, Batista, and Reigns

All I'm saying is, you have to be a next level delusional if you're choosing a 45-year old, what Yul Brynner looks like today, movie star who comes to RAW with lukewarm reactions, besides the most over performer in the planet since Rock, Austin, Hogan in Bryan. Yeah this is mostly a smarky internet opinion bullshit you always hear of me hating the product because the guy I like isn't getting what he deserves but c'mon man. Batista winning the Rumble is just utterly depressing to me and if he wins, I just wanna see the crowd almost go to business for themselves in chanting for Bryan even though it ultimately leads to nothing.

EDIT: Guess i'll follow that up with predictions as well.

Person that lasts the longest in the match: Has to be Punk

Person that eliminates the most people: Either Reigns or Cesaro. I want him to spin Mysterio so fast and eliminates others hitting them with Mysterio to great pops.

Surprise Entries in this years Rumble: Jericho, RVD, Jake, Cena

Most likely winning the Rumble: It just has to be Bryan. I better be getting worked by this whole thing with Batista. If Bryan wins; hook, line, and sinker

Final Four: Punk, Bryan, Batista, and Reigns

Sheamus is in Pittsburgh signing autographs at a car show. Safe to say he'll be in. Kevin Nash is also in Pittsburgh.

Ambrose is 100% eliminating Reigns.

Zoom up on his :O face then cut to Ambrose going *shrugs* sorry bro ;) face. Its written in the stars, a million miles away.... etc.

Sheamus is 100% returning, booooooooooooooo.

100% chance Punk is eliminated by the authority.

Sting gonna make an appearance OMG.

Daniel Bryan better f**king win. I don't think he's even gonna be in it though. :( So 100% chance I'm disappointed.

Person that lasts the longest in the match: Punk (eliminated by Kane - hey, he gets closer to HBK's record, right? - nope, he's an illegal entrant - doesn't count)
Person that eliminates the most people: Reigns (eliminated by Ambrose)
Surprise NON-entry in this year's Rumble: Daniel Bryan (yeah, he's not in the Rumble this year)
Most likely winning the Rumble: Batista
Final Four: Del Rio, Ambrose, Sheamus, Batista

Conrad Link is one wise cat.

F**k Kofi, bring back Morrison. I don't even like him but his 'crazy' spot was way better.

And he ate people's lunches or.... something.

If Sheamus comes back I bet he's breaking the elimination record and not Reigns. Reigns might eliminate Sheamus though because that feels like something they would do.

Person that lasts the longest in the match: I'd be retarded to not say CM Punk, so it's him. Having said that I'd like to see Ambrose eliminate him, maybe even after being eliminated himself as I'm still enjoying that feud and Ambrose's rising craziness.

Person that eliminates the most people: The Big Guy Ryback

Surprise Entries in this years Rumble:
Jake Roberts, Mantaur w/ El Torito, DDP

Most likely winning the Rumble: Drax the Destroyer

Final Four:
Batista, CM Punk, Bork, Bryan F'n Danielson

Who should win the Rumble:
Cody Rhodes. Seriously, if we're keeping Orton as the champion (and I believe we are) then Cody would be an amazing underdog contender. I believe Bryan can survive without the main event of Mania for another year and they can save Batista's title run for when we're closer to the GOTG release.

What will that zany Kofi Kingston guy do this time?

He'll ride a bobsleigh to the ring and then use it to save himself from elimination. Because Jamaica.

Guys, Vince heard you were looking forward to Kofi Kingston doing a stupid/crazy spot in the Rumble so turns out he's not even gonna be in it.

I'M GONNA KEEP TAKING PEOPLE OUT UNTIL YOU CHEER FOR BATISTA GAWD DAMMIT.

#30 should be Sting, who drops from the rafters with his baseball bat, beats the crap out of everyone, and then walks out of the ring (disqualifying himself because he doesn't give a crap) and out of wrestling forever

I want Stinger to swoop down from the rafters as the 30th man, zip-lining down the aisle to give Kofi the big boot as he attempts to get back in the ring using said bobsled. Easy spot.

lol great minds think alike.

Okay jabronis, prediction time.

Person that lasts the longest in the match: CM Punk. He's entering first and he's obviously going to stick around for a good while.

Person that eliminates the most people: Batista

Surprise Entries in this years Rumble: Jake The Snake would be cool and I think he'll be there. Other than that, I think we'll obviously see Sheamus, and maybe Jericho. I hope Lesnar and Cena show up but that probably won't happen. One can hope though.

Most likely winning the Rumble: You don't return after 4 years and not win. That would just be terrible. Batista vs. Lesnar is the biggest match they could do this year at Wrestlemania, besides Undertaker vs. Cena, and since the latter will probably never happen, it's clear what should be done. Batista wins on Sunday, and Brock takes the title next month. Also, this match needs to happen quickly so Batista can turn heel right after Wrestlemania.

Final Four: Batista, Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Brock Lesnar...is what I wish the final four would be. It'll probably be Batista, Daniel Bryan, CM Punk and some other jobber.

I'm expecting Brock to destroy the Big Show and issue another challenge. This time the Undertaker comes out...and there will then be pointing.

The other option is the Big Show knocks Brock out because... yeah.

Person that lasts the longest in the match: cm punk
Person that eliminates the most people: Roman Reigns for sure
Surprise Entries in this years Rumble: Jake Roberts, maybe Sheamus.
Most likely winning the Rumble: Batister
Final Four: Batista, Punk, Reigns, Daniel Bryan????!?!

I say maybe for Sheamus because I and probably several others thought that Mark Henry, Christian, and Jack Swagger would return at the RR last year and none of them did
