I wish there was a way to respec your skills. I'm at Isshin, and I want to use Fightincowboy's build but it hinges on High Monk, which is a skill in a skill tree I don't have yet--let alone any points towards.

Today I learned the "Sekiro" means "One-Armed Wolf". That's badass. I just thought Sekiro was Wolf's name.

I bought this game on release, and had tried getting into it three different times, but would drop it around after beating Gyoubu.

It was enjoying the dodge/parry mechanics in Clair Obscur that made me try Sekiro again, and it finally clicked a little.

I got past the first phase of the final Isshin boss fight last night. I saw Isshin's 3 Deathblows and decided to log off to try again fresh later.

Just how hard is Isshin?

I beat Sword Saint Isshin; I'm in the club!

So cool to first get stomped by Genichiro, barely ever making it to Isshin. Then getting to Isshin consistently but dying in his first phase. Then regularly flawless-ing Genichiro and getting to Isshin's second phase consistently. Then a few times to Isshin's 3rd. Then finally putting the old bastard down for good.

FromSoft forces you to git gud for this fight, eh?--not really any "cheese" options.

Very special game, and I get now why the combat in it is a lot of people's FromSoft favorite.
