RTTP: Sekiro - Finally time to git gud at this

bender

What time is it?
For some reason, From Software games kind of scare me with their difficulty.

They are like old school D&D games.

The good and bad thing about the Souls games is that they tend to recycle their design tropes in their games. Those surprise moments that could equally delight and frustrate you in your first Souls game will be easy to identify in the next. "Oh, I bet there is a trap here." Yup. "Oh, I bet there is an enemy around this corner here." Yup. Oh, I bet there is an ambush here." Yup. And on and on and on.

I'm just bad at parrying in general no matter the game. I want to love Sekiro as it reminds me of Tenchu, which I adore, but even the first mini-boss just hands it to me. I've only ever gotten a few bosses in.

I just spent a lot of time in Korean arcades in the 90s with Street Fighter 2 and Samurai Shodown 2. I think the last two fighting games I really loved was Soul Calibur on the Dreamcast because a buddy and I played it endlessly and VF4/5 because of the godlike training modes.
My skill issues with fighting games comes from the fact I have hard time remembering combos and during the fight I will be too focus on trying pull off those combos instead of actual fight itself.
