I think people forget that Bioshock 1 was set in 1960

And Infinite was set somewhere around the Battle of Wounded knee 1890's. I was thinking maybe an Edwardian architechture so that everything has that Adams Family mansion look. But set in the time pieried of the first person to get to the South Pole. 1910.
