{Rumor} "iPhone 8" - New drawing/rendering leak

Incredible if true. I know Apple's been working on getting the speaker and camera beneath the screen for years but I figured it would take a bit longer. Will be interesting to see if they actually managed it. I always assumed worse case scenario is there would be a bit of top bezel (they'll never do the stupid big bottom bezel like Xiaomi). And this leak is the best case scenario.

Both are great but this one is obviously a design marvel if they pulled it off.

I think it will have a little bezel like the s8. I call bullshit on the camera behind the display.

It will look so much like the s8 you can't tell them apart when the phones are not on.

I don't feel it but I hardly do with these mock ups. From the current slim bezel phones I like the LG G6 the best. S8 front shape is sort of weird and I dislike the curve. Xiaomi also looks nice.

Can hardly imagine all the sensors and cam being below the display but it would be sleek af.

Huh? They recently refreshed the SE line with 64 and 128GB models.
That being said, I feel like the SE is very popular. Can't see them dropping it from the line up anytime soon.

lol they just upgraded the storage, how does that really make a difference to a 1 year old phone. There was no spring event this year, makes me think its not happening anymore.

Something about having very little bezels makes this look very ugly... Almost like badly coded HTML/CSS where text is running off the screen or isn't centered nicely. I don't like the way this is looking. And here I thought I'd be totally for bezel-less phones.

9to5mac posted the images from the OP alongside some other renders with presumed antenna lines on each corner.

Likely being overly hopeful, but perhaps we will see the shock absorber / floatation patent being implemented in the new phone?

I was looking forward to no bezel or like Samsung edge. If this turns out real, looks like I'll keep using my 6. Spec bumps doesn't do it for me anymore since 6 is my sweet spot in performance.

Fuckkk should I buy a 7 now cause I need it or hold on till an 8?!:(

What?? Don't buy a 7, worst phone apple have ever made in comparison to the market and their competitors. As an Apple fan the 7 was the point they go from being untouchable at the top to at risk losing their crown - android fans will say they lost it ages ago. depending on how good the 8 is they could genuinely fall behind.

If you're someone like me who has an iPhone 6+, it might be worth it to try to go for the 7 so that the 7 can be traded in for the 8. I am with T-Mobile and unfortunately I did not take the deal to trade in my 6+ for the 7 with no additional cost when it released. Now when the 8 releases, there surely won't be any deals to trade in a 6 unless you pay out of pocket as well; however, with the 7, they'll most likely accept a version of that for an 8 with no additional cost (or significantly less out of pocket as compared to trading in the 6).

I dislike my 6+ and I'm not sure what to do with it.

The real news is if they manage to create the finger print sensor inside the screen like Samsung failed to do on time for Galaxy 8.

I'm going to buy this phone so hard

Do we know if they're planning on retaining the haptic feedback of the "button" from the iPhone 7?

This looks ugly af and it's so lazy. They just removed the bezels and that's it. The camera is vertical now. Nothing about this is sexy. Ugggh.... maybe when it's finished, I might think differently but right now, this is so lazy.

I wonder what A11 will bring. Apple has continually surprised by pushing forward per-core performance while sticking to two active cores, I wonder where those advances will end.

Granted as it's a major external redesign, the processor update is probably more minor like the 6, rather than another major overhaul like the 5S/6S.

They were never going to frequently update their "budget" model, especially since when it released it was basically the top-of-the-line specs for $200 less. It's not going anywhere.

That actually looks pretty cool. Now bring the 3.5mm phone jack back and put Android on it and I consider getting one (if I could afford it).
Ow, the edge! :P

Rumored 3 GB Of RAM.

A rumor, of course, but that probably means Apple is at least considering it for this phone even if it might not actually happen.
