Everything happening in this war points to Russia’s complete overestimation of its own abilities, and total underestimation of the west’s resolve.

Mobilisation is an incredibly stupid thing to do, as it will just mean a massive increase in equipment pumped into Ukraine by NATO. Russia can put 300,000 untrained light infantry into the field, we can put 500 Abrams tanks in there.

This war is only going to end one way, and fuck Putin for not admitting it. Thousands upon thousands are going to die at the altar of his ego, until someone kills him.

It's always worth bearing in mind that the first purpose of nuclear weapons is deterrent. Nobody wants to actually use them because it not only inevitably dooms them but also their country and their loved ones. Both sides are regrouping, and Ukraine is doing some mopping up - as in fish in a barrel. Russian soldier loses a day or so ago were 550 in a day, with 18 tanks destroyed.

So it's quiet in terms of fronts moving but the slaughter continues.
