Sounds to me like Marvel is going to pack this one with all sorts of geeky Easter eggs if all of these rumors are true. The Blob would be a lot of fun to see in one of these, and there’s another cameo, one that we can officially confirm now, that sounds to me like a set-up for a possible spin-off.

Anyone up for a little DEADPOOL?

How about if Ryan Reynolds is playing him?

This one’s supposed to be a secret, but cat’s out of the bag now, Marvel. And I have to say... I think it sounds like fun. I know this has been a character you guys have been developing for years now (hell, I think I pitched a DEADPOOL film back in 2001), and Reynolds is absolutely the right guy for the job.

i think ryan reynolds is pretty talented, but he's not getting a lot of interesting roles. oh well. josh brolin proves that sometimes you have to get old and sell your house to pay bills before anyone will take you seriously.

Holy shit, this is a perfect fit. Watch Blade 3. Dude is straight ripped and he's good with the witty remarks.

haha, kitty should have been ghosted the whole time. deadpool is not to be taken lighty, as lighty as he takes everything.

isn't reynolds that guy from that shitty national lampoon movie?
forget to add, that would actually fit in with deadpool. I mean I can honestly see Deadpool wanting to be in a national lampoon movie

Reynolds has wanted to play Deadpool for a long time. I remember him talking about it in interviews for a while now. (Example)

This sounds like a great cameo, so I'm dieing to see it come to life. On a side note... WATCH IT!

From Amazon: "The Nines consists of three short films, each featuring the same actors in different — and sometimes overlapping — roles. Together, three stories form a single narrative that explores the relationships between author and character, actor and role, creator and creation. Alternately funny and unsettling, The Nines is like a riddle where the answer is the question: "How does it all add up?" "The Prisoner" tells the story of a troubled television star (Reynolds) who finds himself under house arrest, with his chipper publicist (McCarthy) and his disillusioned next-door neighbor (Davis) providing his only links to the outside world. Mysterious events lead him to question whether one or more of the women are deceiving him about the nature of his incarceration. "Reality Television" is a half-hour episode of "Behind the Screen," a Project Greenlight-style documentary series tracking the process of creating a network television drama. "Knowing" finds an acclaimed videogame designer (Reynolds) and his wife (McCarthy) facing car trouble deep in the woods. Their daughter (Elle Fanning) uncovers information which leads to a difficult and irrevocable choice."

I promise it's definitely not what you think it's going to be like at all.

True. I hated him in Blade, but I admit he would make a perfect Deadpool, especially with that mouth.

I'm sold. I'll pick it up tomorrow.

Oh this'll be fucking perfect, if they can get him to bulk up a bit. Can't wait to see him fuck with Jackman. :lol

Reynolds is already ripped... he's a monster (Blade 3)

Day 1. Deadpool's my favorite comic book character and Ryan Reynolds fits him pretty well. There better be fireworks between him and Wolvie.

I remember this funny video but can't remember where I saw it.

It was during the Blade filming.

Ryan Reynolds is standing next to Biel doing a muscleman pose. She starts laughing and he's like ???. Triple H is directly behind him doing the same pose making Reynolds look tiny. :lol

It's a new flavor-crystal formula. Twice the chocolaty goodness, half the calories. Plus it helps prevent tooth decay. There, I said it.

Hmm. This is starting to worry me. I'm all for easter eggs, don't get me wrong. And it's about time we got to see Deadpool on the big screen. HOWEVER, with Gambit, Deadpool, and probably others I'm worried this is going to turn into a superhero grabfest. THE MOVIE IS ABOUT WOLVERINE, I don't need these second rate characters fucking up my goddamn movie.

You and me both. A deadpool movie would be awesome.

Rstein, Deadpool maybe a lot of things... but he's not second rate dammit!

I think just posting "please quote my avatar" would have been more effective.

I've seen deadpool before. I probably had one of his action figures as a kid. But I'm not familiar with him at all since I don't read comics. So can someone tell me what's up with the whole mock-Spider-Man thing he has going on?

Uhh.. Wolverine is the most overrated and overused character in the Marvel universe. He ruined the X-men movies by being the center piece in all three... well he didn't ruin them because they were great but they would've been even better if he wasn't such a central character. So many other superheroes are more interesting than Wolverine... how many times have we heard his story? He's overused
