French Canadian Actor Roy Dupuis has been cast as Gambit (rumor). You may remember him from the Nikita tv show.

Hm... not a bad choice for Gambit. Yes. This is lining up to mop the floor with X3.

Then again, they would have to try to make it worse. A team effort.

What the hell is your problem? That movie blows and for the last twenty years National Lampoon blows. I guess this is the only movie I've seen that Reynolds character in though. Can someone recommend a movie in which I don't want to punch him in the face?

Waiting would have been a good movie if not for Mac Guy and Dane Cook and Andy M being in it. You can smell the sexual tension between him and Anna Faris.
Otherwise you're stuck with the early eps of Two Guys and a Girl (before GAF's sweetheart Nathan Fillion came and stunk the show up) since he's mostly been criminally resigned to crappy Romantic Comedies. Although Chaos Theory which comes out next month is meant to be really good.

Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool = sex.

Gambit = FUCK AWESOME!

They can charge me a grand for this movie, and I'll still see the fucking thing. This is going to be awesome!

Hmm. This is starting to worry me. I'm all for easter eggs, don't get me wrong. And it's about time we got to see Deadpool on the big screen. HOWEVER, with Gambit, Deadpool, and probably others I'm worried this is going to turn into a superhero grabfest. THE MOVIE IS ABOUT WOLVERINE, I don't need these second rate characters fucking up my goddamn movie.
Marvel is getting smart and starting to do alot of crosspolination with their movies.. for example,
Downey as Iron Man
is in The Hulk and
Sam Jackson as Nick Fury
is in Iron Man
to build up hype for upcoming movies focused on their characters, etc

I had no idea they were doing this. Awesome news.

Huh how? Isn't Hulk Universal and
Iron Man Paramount
?

Those assholes! I had no intentions of ever seeing the Wolverine movie now they go and do this so I have to go see it day one.

I'd much rather just have a Deadpool movie though.

Good thing Reynolds has finally got Deadpool going. I just hope this means he gets his own film now.

Indeed, I've yet to see a movie with Reynolds in it that I didn't like (or atleast his part)

Deadpool is also the shit, so hopefully you're right.

A Deadpool film and game would make me very happy.

Any idea where I could find a collection of Deadpool comics or anything? Sadly I've only know of him through a select few games. (Ultimate Alliance, the only character I really played)

They have about 7 TPBs for the Cable & Deadpool series. All pretty good.

It's a comedy. The whole point is to be funny, and IMO, Van Wilder is one of the best films in the past decade at doing that.

It is kind of funny that the X-Men films were all about Wolverine and now the Wolverine film seems to be all about the supporting characters :lol

Tara Reid ruined it for me the same way she ruined a chunk of Scrubs for me. Ryan was pretty good in it though.

As for Deadpool I really cant believe Deadpool/Cable is still going. It seemed Deadpool's original run was continually on the verge of being cancelled.

Nope

Superhero Hype! has learned that "Friday Night Lights" star Taylor Kitsch will play Gambit (AKA Remy LeBeau) in director Gavin Hood's X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Kitsch has signed a three-picture deal.

I loved pre-med Dick.

"Oh, your labia feels so good around my hot and swollen phallus. Oh, I'm ejaculating! I'm ejaculating my seminal fluids inside of you, oh!"

"Did you. . .?"

"It's kind of hard to in seven seconds."

:lol

Damn, I love deadpool, one of my most favorite marvel characters....but I never imagined ryan reynolds wrap playing him.

Actually, i think Justin Long would do the job better, or hell, vince vaughn. just from what I remember of the movies that I have seen with ryan reynolds, he wasn't really good. maybe I saw the wrong movies.

Deadpool is awesome and Ryan Reynolds seems like the perfect fit to me. Let's hope they really go with the funny Deadpool.(Ultimate Deadpool is shitty)

By the way, if anyone is interested, the current Wolverine Origins team will be departing later this year to start on a brand-new Deadpool series.

This is fucking awesome. I always thought that he would give a great Deadpool and a great Flash.

Again, awesome!

And on the gambit thing, a 40 year old guy playing gambit? Really? Cmon. Anyway this movie is getting really interesting.

I just signed my name in an email which is Ryan Reynolds, and then I came to GAF immediately after and see RYAN REYNOLDS IS DEADPOOL:lol Freaked me out for a second.

Ryan Reynolds is the movie version of Dane Cook. The last comic-book movie he did was Blade Trinity, and he sucked a mean one in that. Two years ago, my vote to cast him into the sun was overlooked.

^^See The Nines. Seriously.

Dear. Fucking. God.

I thought Reynolds was funny in it, and even still, he was the very last of that movie's problems.
