I bought the Ultimate Edition or whatever it's called on GOG. Which is a little silly, I suppose, given that I'm not going to play the game until I build a new computer setup early next year, but... eh, whatever. I wanted the incidental preorder DLC, and I want to support this game.

Yes, it's been available to pre-load for a while.
But if anyone hasn't done it yet, I'd recommend holding off till release lol.
Since the preload, I've had to download 145GB initially, then there was a 136GB update to the pre-load, and today there was a 36GB update.
I'm glad I don't have caps on my internet, otherwise i'd be fucking pissed, lol.

Yes, of course it'll have a storyline, hell, from the trailers it looks like it's a lot more 'cinematic' in terms of its presentation than the original STALKER games ever were. But in general, don't expect a CoD style game.

Although don't follow the plot of the movie, the universe of the games are based on the movie.
I decided not to see a lot of media before I play the game but im pretty much sure you don't need to play the old games and it will have a storyline about a new stalker.
